CHAPTER 9: CLOUDFUR BECOMES DEPUTY

After Sunpelt's death Gracestar had to appoint a new deputy. She called everyone to the highrock. "Today I will be appointing a new deputy." Gracestar said with a depressed look. All the warriors stood in honor in place of Sunpelt's body. "My new deputy will be........................ (Dramatic pause)........... Cloudfur." Gracestar mewed. Cloudfur nodded her head and walked on to her rock next to Gracestar.

"WHAT!!!!!!" Ashfire yelled. "SHE WAS ONLY A WARRIOR FOR 6 MOONS!" Ashfire protested. "She is more loyal to the clan and she doesn't push her apprentices into the river." Gracestar said calmly. I glared at Ashfire. He lookes back at me , and his eyes were filled with anger.

All of us were so happy for Cloudfur. Me and Silverclaw and me padded towards Cloudfur. "Hey dude!" I mewed. She wasn't talking to me. I didn't know why, I think it was because Silverclaw likes me. "What's her deal?" I asked Silverclaw. "I don't know." Silverclaw said as he groomed himself.

I padded back to my den, I stretched out on my mossy bed. I fell asleep, it was nearly moonhigh. I felt Silverclaw's soft and silky warm fur rub against mine as he went to bed. I felt Cloudfur's paws pushed me over on to my back. Since I was half asleep I clawed her in the face. "Hey!" Cloudfur yelped in pain. "Oh sorry!" I mewed. She hissed at me. "DUDE WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!" I hissed. I woke the whole den. I did earned a few glares, but I didn't care. "You know exactly why." she hissed. "Is this because of Silverclaw?!" I yelled (accidentally 0-0). It was silent for a while (awkward). "YOu had to say it out loud!" she hissed, except this time knocking me off my feet. "Is that true Cloudfur?" Silverclaw mewed. Cloudfur couldn't meet his gaze and blushed a little, "Yeah."she whispered. "Errr.... I mean no." Cloudfur mewed. "Okay then." Silverclaw said as he licked Cloudfur in between her ears. She blushed.

Woken by Ashfire, whom was stalking over me. He startled me. He then pointed to where I was sleeping then looked at Runningwind. I loojed at him with a look that says "I'm not moving bro". He stared at me. I clawed at him, he still stared, I finally moved.
