Poisioned

Sonic had found him self in Egg man's head quarters once again, some bright lights came on once the blue hedgehog entered the circular room. Green and yellow painted walls and a hard steel floor beneath the hedgehogs feet.

Egg man appeared behind him through a panel steel door.  A robot came out from a large steel door.
It was huge, Red glowing eyes, a stinger, the robot had tentacle arms and it looked like a giant metal bee.

Shadow the hedgehog was above Sonic, standing on some kind of pipe. He held on to another pipe so he wouldn't fall, he had just teleported there.  He watched as Sonic tried to do a homing attack on Egg man's egg mobile that Egg man was in then do a counter attack on the giant robotic bee.

The bee dodged the counter attack but Egg man's mobile was hit, it was sparking a bit but not too bad.

After Sonic got safely on the ground, the bee slapped Sonic hard with one of it's tentacles.  It held the blue hedgehog down, it's face inches away from Sonic only for a second.  The bee still had Sonic pinned down,  it moved over him a bit more, just enough to  get it's stinger to poke into Sonic.  The stinger got him in the left leg, leaving a scratch since Shadow jumped on to the mechanical bee,  cutting the head off with his chaos spear.  The head fell, the wires inside  the head sparked a little bit.  Once the robot was out, Egg man fled and Shadow helped Sonic out from under the bee's body since the rest of the bee's body collapsed on top of the blue hedgehog once Shadow cut the robot's head off.

Shadow: Are you ok, Sonic?

Sonic: I think so.  I  don't think  I can walk on my left leg though. I think the stinger dug deep into me.  It hurts bad.

Shadow looked at Sonic's left leg, the scratch didn't look deep at all.

Shadow: Hmm. It isn't deep at all. Maybe we should go to Tail's place, he might be able to figure out what is wrong.

Sonic: ok. 

Shadow picked Sonic up and held  him in his arms.  He teleported him and Sonic to Tail's place.

Shadow: Tails, you home? Sonic got hurt and we could use some help to find out what is wrong with him.

Tails: Yeah I'm home.
A two tailed  ten year old yellow orangish fox walked up to Shadow and Sonic who was still in Shadow's arms.

Tails looked at Sonic's left leg.

Tails: ok, go ahead and set him down on the couch.

Tails went and got his medical kit.

Shadow gently set  Sonic down on the couch.   Sonic laid still.  He seemed to be ok. He looked up at Shadow,  his emerald green eyes were still full of life.

Shadow looked at Sonic and smiled a little. 

Tails came back with the medical kit.
By the time he got back, Sonic was groaning. He was in pain.

Shadow: I swear I didn't do anything. I was just sitting here and....

Tails: It's ok, I believe you, Shadow.

Tails took a swab  and put it on Sonic's cut and  then put it under his microscope he had that was sitting on the coffee table.

Tails: Oh no.

Shadow: what is it?

Tails: Sonic is poisoned ...

Shadow looked back at Sonic, he was still groaning a bit.  Shadow felt  really bad for Sonic.  Shadow looked back at Tails.

Shadow: how much time will it take for the poison to spread and do it's affect?

Tails: well since it's already affecting him, I'd say he would have about twenty minutes until the poison has spread then possibly five minutes to kill him once it hits his heart...

Shadow: is there a cure?

Tails: yes but your gonna have to get it from Egg man... It isn't gonna be easy to get it from him. I know Egg man probably has it...

Shadow: I'll go get it, I'll be right back, Sonic.

Sonic nodded.

Sonic: Please hurry.

Shadow: I will.

Shadow teleported back to Egg man's base.  He found a small bottle in a glass case that said Poisoning cure. Shadow knew it was a trap. He slid the glass case up and an alarm came on. The bottle disappeared. Egg man showed up behind the black hedgehog.  He held a green bottle in his hand.

Egg man: looking for something, like this?  This bottle is to cure any kind of poisoning but you almost got the poison!

Shadow: that was poison?

Egg man: yeah it was, but too
Bad your not gonna be able to cure Sonic in time.

Egg man pushed a button and Shadow was now locked in a cage.

Shadow tried to break himself out by crashing into the walls of the metal cage but the cage didn't budge or break.
Egg man left him alone, two robots guarded the cage that Shadow was in.
Egg man had dropped the cure by accident when he tried putting it in his coat pocket.   He didn't know it fell so he just left.

Shadow used Chaos blast after Egg man left, the two robots and cage were destroyed, Shadow picked the cure up and teleported back to Tail's place with the cure.

Tails: oh good, you got the cure!

Shadow: yeah.

Shadow looked back at Sonic.
Sonic was shivering and groaning. It was clear that he was running out of time. His  emerald green eyes were slowly losing their lively glow.

Tails:go ahead and give the cure to him, he needs to drink all of it.

Shadow: ok, Tails.

Shadow twisted the cap off the bottle and put the bottle in Sonic's mouth. It took only a few seconds before Sonic had drank all of it.

Shadow took the empty bottle away from Sonic once it was gone. It took five minutes until the poison was completely gone.  Sonic had stopped shivering, his eyes were back to normal and he wasn't groaning anymore.

Shadow and Tails gently hugged Sonic, glad  that he was alright.
