When they entered the safe zone again everyone clamored around the two Dragon Slayers.  The other Dragon Slayers had returned after Keira had ran off.

"What happened?! What's going on?!" Everyone asked as Keira stumbled her way through the throng. As she passed Gray she paused and murmured to him,

"Achnologia's dead." Keira went into her house and shuffled into her bedroom, closing the door. Keira sat on the edge of the bed staring blankly at the dusty photo's on her dresser. She saw herself and her family, happily smiling together. She remembered how happy she was around her mother and now she had none of that happiness. She turned her head to look outside the window at the gloomy black clouds.

After several hours of sitting on the bed, doing nothing, she heard a soft knock on her door. She breathed in and smelled Natsu,

"Come in." She said in a monotone, she heard her door creak open and close. Natsu's soft footsteps approached Keira and he sat on the bed next to her. He stared out of the large window with Keira, saying nothing.

"What did he mean when he said 'remember who you were'?" Natsu asked softly, glancing at Keira who didn't turn to look at him.

"He meant, remember when you were a Guardian. Emotions always have a big impact on how humans make their decisions. When I was an assassin for the Guardians I killed without feeling emotions. By just doing and not thinking your goals are achieved easier. He meant, don't base your actions on revenge for my death, do it for everyone not yourself." Keira said in a monotone.

"It?" Natsu asked,

"Kill Zeref and his followers." Keira said finally looking at Natsu. "We can't hide here forever, one day we're going to have to come out of our hole and fight." Keira leaned back and lied on her bed, staring at the ceiling.

"So, what are you going to do?" Natsu asked leaning on his elbow. Keira sighed,

 "probably something very stupid."

The next morning Keira woke, her hair ruffled and tangled. She combed it and got dressed. She went downstairs where everyone was eating breakfast.

"Everyone listen up!" Her rough voice rose above all the others, everyone turned to look at Keira. "Today is the day you have all been training for. We're going to take back the capitol, then our world!" Many wizards cheered but Keira noticed some looked uneasy, they had been living in isolation for a long time, it was working, the Guardians could never reach them.

"When do we leave?" Someone asked in the throng of the crowd. Keira stood up tall,

"Right now." Everyone was scrambling to get ready as they grabbed medical equipment, weapons, lacrima's, and personal items. Once everyone had gathered their belongings, they set off on their journey over the mountains towards the capitol, the nearest city and they site in which Zeref most likely created his base at.

As the hundred of thousands of wizards crested over the last ridge of the mountains that led out of Dragon Country Keira looked back, a sense of longing welling up inside of her. However she quickly pushed it away, they had to get past this, she wasn't going to live in isolation forever.

The group circled around the fortified capitol around the back, the stone walls rose high above the little humans. Keira found it odd that she heard no movement, even with her exceptional hearing. They entered the capitol to find nothing was touched. Keira had a bad feeling about this but shrugged it off, now they had a new hideout closer to wherever the enemy was.

Keira ordered a group of wizards to usher all of the citizens to the center of the city.

"There are five exits, so we will split up into five groups to cover everything. We need telepathy wizards in each group and," Keira turned to her Guardian friends, "each of you will be in one group." Keira dismissed everyone to find their groups, she walked over to where the Guardians were conversing.

"I want you guys to know that the days of your Guardianship are over, I want you to put your life last, our job is to protect others even if it costs our lives." The other four Guardians nodded and Keira walked off.

Erza then walked up to them, a frown crossing her face.

"Hey, can I ask you guys a question?" She asked,

"Sure, shoot" said Jessica lightly.

"Yesterday, why didn't any of you go and talk to Keira?" The Guardians glanced easily at each other, Gale answered her,

"Well, you see, the good thing about Guardians is that we have no emotional connection with the world. When we pass our exam our parents are either Guardians or, in Keira's case, killed. Our family is the people we fight alongside, no one else. Emotions only get in the way of things so we're taught not to show them. None of us have been in that positions before, we don't know what to say or do. Its not that we don't care its that we can't help."

Erza blinked then nodded,

"A-alright, well, go to your groups and be ready."

Keira stood by the main gate, her cloak flicking in the stiff breeze that blew to the south. She heard the other four groups making their way to their destinations through telepathy. Keira's group stood by the welded gate that separated the city from the outside world.

"How will we know when they're here?" Millianna asked, Keira glanced at her,

"Don't worry, we'll know. They'll try to make the first move but we'll be ready." After Keira said that many voice filled Keira's head as chaos erupted.

"Hey! What's going on?" Keira asked, she was answered by Charles who was usually quiet,

"There are enchantments blocking the exits! They're trapping us!" He barely finished his sentence when the enchantments exploded and a huge ball of pure magic day burst through the main gate. The steel plates that held the exits shut fell onto wizards, crushing them.

Keira fell over from being hit by the ball of energy, she heard wizards panicking, reporting deaths and some threw out orders. Keira looked through the giant hole, the only place without enchantments. Her heart stopped as she saw thousands of Guardians cresting over the hill.

"They've cornered us" she whispered, the only way out was to fight through the Guardians.

"Alright!" Keira said commandingly, "I want everyone who can fight to get to the main gate now! Those who can't will be left behind to be tended for by the civilians." Keira pulled out her rapier and watched the opposing army slowly approach them.

In the next ten minutes the other wizards joined up with Keira's team who only had a couple casualties. Her heart dropped as she realized more people were hurt than she thought.

"Everyone outside the gate!" Keira ordered, once everyone was outside Keira plunged her sword into the ground in the middle of the gate. A black force field closed the only hole that led into the city. She turned back to the army which had stopped, twenty feet away from the wizards.

"What are they doing?" Erza asked, Keira felt a pressure building behind the front lines of the enemy. She stood in front of the wizards, ready to block their attack before the battle officially started. She unclipped the clasp on her cloak and the wind blew it off of her shoulders.

Strapped to her back with thick leather straps was a huge sword, as tall as Keira. Its blade was wide and a light silvery color, the tang was fashioned out of gold and had the Guardian symbol on it  with a circle that attached the blade to the handle.

Keira grabbed the handle and swung the sword over her head, the metal bright against the dark sky.

"If you think you'll win then you're all fools" Keira challenged them, one of the opposing Guardians laughed.

"All of you will die, starting with you" he said glaring at Keira. The Head Guardian tightened her grip on the sword,

"Try me" Keira growled, gritting her teeth together in a smirk. The two sides were so close to war yet no one made a move. The light wizards had already taken a big blow to their forces while the Guardians stood strong against them. Keira wasn't going to let them win, for everyone's sake.
