I woke up. I rolled over and squinted my eyes to see it was about 8:00 am. I hurt the soft sound of one direction playing in the background. Damn I must have left my phone on! It’s probably almost flat! I moved to grab my phone when my stomach let out the biggest growl. Fuck, I’m hungry. I sat up and realised I had the biggest craving for blue berry and choc-chip pancakes. I ripped off the covers and got out of bed, shivering when the cool air hit my body as I was only in my bra and panties. I fumbled around on the ground in the dark, trying to find a pair of leggings and a top. I finally came across pair of leggings with a little hole in them on the high thigh but I covered it up with one of my huge knitted sweaters that goes almost reaches my knees. I tied my long blonde hair up in a messy bun and let my bangs hang lose, i brushed my face over once with powder, chucked on some boots and I was set.

I begin to walk to the door grabbing my keys and purse of the kitchen bench. I walked out of my apartment, down the main stairs in the apartment block and out the huge doors.

I stepped out into the cold morning air of London taking in a massive deep breath, letting it fill up my lungs. I decided not to take my car because it was such a perfect morning, so I began my trek down the street in towards town. I turned down a little street that was my usual short cut. Within about 10 minutes I was out of the alley street and onto the main road leading me straight to my heaven. It wasn't open when I arrived because it was only 8:30 in the morning but I knew the owner- Bobby; would be in, I could swear that he never leaves. I knocked on the door in our secret code and waited for his answer. Bobby is the owner of one of the best Diner's in London. He was also my dad's best friend. He has been like a father to me for 17 years, so basically as long as I can remember.

I heard a massive crash and clutter of things hitting the ground followed by some swearing, yep Bobby was definitely here! He swung the door open ready to yell at whoever was there but when he noticed it was me all of his anger disappeared and he smiled. "Jamie!" He exclaimed grabbing me into a hug lifting me up in the air. "Bobby, you're squashing me.." I managed to say before he placed me on the ground again. We both started laughing and he let me inside and we headed towards the kitchen.

"So, what're you doing here this early Missy?" He smiled and winked at me getting behind the counter.

"I have a really bad craving for your blue-berry, choc-chip pancakes!" I screeched out, lifting myself up on a counter top across from him.

"Of course." He laughed before beginning my order. "Now on a more serious note. Why haven't I seen your pretty 'lil face around here much anymore?”

"I've been heaps busy with my last year of school but it's almost over now, so expect to see me more often." I had plonked myself of the counter and grabbed an apple and blackcurrant juice out the fridge.

"I must admit I got worried when I didn't see you for the past couple days, I was going to go up to that big ol' apartment of yours and make sure.."

"Oh Bobby, come on!" I nearly spat out my juice with laughter. "My apartment isn't scary, nor even big, it only has like 4 rooms. And I’m in a building with like 12 other separate residents, and I swear to you Bobby, none of them are crack heads.. Well, except maybe one" I stated, looking away with that last part biting my lip to hold in my laughter.

"I know, I know, I just don't like the idea of you being all alone up... hang on. What did you say?!" He dropped the spatula and looked at me wide eyed.

"I’m kidding! Come on!" I started swinging my legs back and forth while laughing.

He looked at me with a stern look on his face. I started to go cross-eyed earning a smirk on his face. Finally he shook his head laughing and returned to making my pancakes.
