“Hi, umm… sorry Niall, but we’re closing up now” A little voice came from behind me, I turned around to see a waitress standing there, looking shy. She was a few years younger than me, maybe 12-13? She was about my height as well but much skinnier than me, she had a pixie hair cut that was dyed red, and a few freckles spread over her nose. She was adorable.

“Oh, no worries love. Sorry” He replied smiling back at her. That’s when I realised she must have been a fan. Her eyes widened and her whole face turned a crimson colour.

“I’m guessing you’re a fan?” I whispered in her direction. She nodded really fast and had a huge smile on her face. I turned and looked at Niall, gesturing for him to go sign something for her, or take a photo, whatever it is he does with fans! He smiled at me and turned to her again.

“Would you like me to sign anything? Take a photo?” Her eyes lit up and she giggled nervously.

“I’ll be right back!” She chucked her apron off and ran out the back of the coffee shop.

“She’s so adorable” I laughed when the doors closed behind her.

“Not as adorable as you” He looked down at the ground and smiled. Gosh, he knew how to make my heart melt. I was about to say something when he started again,

“You know, sometimes I wish I wasn’t famous. Don’t get me wrong you know I love my job and all the fans it’s incredible! But uh, sometimes I wish I could just be normal, erm like go out with people and not have everyone want to take a photo or me sign something. I know I shouldn’t complain because I have what so many people could only dream about, but sometimes a bit of privacy would be nice.” He shrugged it off and looked kinda sad. The girl came running back out and on cue Niall put on a big smile and stood up to greet her. He gave her a huge hug and she handed him a piece of paper – for signing.

“What’s your name darling?” He questioned her, so he knew who to write it out too. She was about to answer but she paused and looked like she was doing some serious thinking.

“Did you forget your name?” Niall asked and started cackling. She smiled and replied with,

“No, I’m just wondering whether I should ask you to write it out for me, or for my little sister… She’s in hospital, really sick at the moment and I know she’s a big fan and this would mean everything to her...” The girl thought again before saying.

“Yeah, it would mean everything to her, can you sign it out to Ellie please Chaser?” He paused and began filling up the page with Dear Ellie, get well soon’s and love you’s, drawing hearts and flowers and things. He was so amazing.

“Can you get me another piece of paper please?” He looked up to the girl who was smiling like mad.

“Yeah, sure! I’ll be right back!” Once again she took off, running into the back. I looked at him slightly confused and he just smiled. She came back and handed him the piece of paper.

“Ok, we’ve done one for your sister! So now what’s your name love?” She squealed and rushed out,

“Jayme, with a Y!” Niall was about to write but hesitated and looked up at me with a cocked eyebrow.

“Hey!” I protested and smiled “That’s my name!” She looked at me and squealed again.

“I have the same name as Niall’s girlfriend! OH MY GOD!” She was screaming and giggling now. I went to protest that I’m not his girlfriend but she looked so happy, I just left it. I looked over at Niall who was smiling to himself, madly filling up the page with things. Jayme looked at me and asked,
