The rain is pouring down, but that doesn't seem to bother neither of us. She tries to approach me, but with each step she takes, I move another step back.
"Karlie, w-we can't..."
My voice is muffled by the heavy sound of the rain. My hair is getting slick with the water and I push it off of my face only to feel it sliding back.
"Taylor, please try to-"
"No!" I yell, "You have Josh, we can't!" My voice breaks and she rushes to me.
"It's gonna be okay" By now my tears are already mingling with the rain drops. I feel her arms engulfing me in a protective hug and my body instantly melts against hers."We're gonna be okay..."

Sure enough good to see you, but it's time to go.

I don't want to be lonely tonight.
"Can't you stay tonight?" She asks as I make my way to her front door after we shared one last goodbye kiss.
"You know I can't..."
"When will I see you again?"
That's a question she knows I don't have an answer for, but she always asks it anyway. My eyes, however, can't neglect her as much as I want them to and I know that the sadness in her green orbits is only a reflection of my own. I don't want to leave, but I have no choice. We can't keep doing this.
"Soon."

getting down on my knees.
"You know what? I'm done!"
"You're DONE?! You can't make me choose, Karlie!"
"Actually, I can. I'm tired of always being your plan B!"
My face's getting a deep shade of red and I know we should stop before things go too far and we both end up saying things we'll regret later, but I just can't bring myself to give in again. I can't let her do this to me everytime. Music is my life and she won't stay in the way between me and my career. I can't let her.
"My personal life will ALWAYS be in the second plan and you knew it when you decided to be with me."
"That's not enough for me, Taylor"
"Well, then go back to your stupid ex boyfriend!" I snap before I can hold myself back. The look in her eyes is enough to tell me that this is the last time I'll see her leaving.
"I think I will." She says before turning around and walking towards my apartment door.
"F-fine!"
"Fine!"
Her last word echoes around my apartment long after she left, distracting me from the sounds of my own crying.

The breeze feels good against my skin as we look at the dolphins emerging from the sea.
"Isn't that Karlie?" Lily's voice startles me and before I can manage to shut her down, she's already calling and waving to the girl. "KARLIE!!!!"
She is beautiful. Her body is only covered by a white tunic, huging her it in all the right places, the wetness on it allowing me to see her defined abs. Her hair is naturally waved and her skin is tanner than it was the last time I saw her.
