Kara's eyes went huge as she stared at the two males. She had no idea what to do in a situation like this! Never had she needed to be in one either. This was all new for her.
-"Hurry to the garage! The alpha is here," Gerard said out loudly, making sure everyone heard it.
-"W-Why?" Kara questioned, fear reaching deep within her. The thing was back?-"The alpha is after you, Kara. Hurry up!" Chris answered, pointing down the hall. His voice was calm, which made Kara wonder. How many times have Chris been face to face with this thing? Probably many more times than she had.
-"It has returned for her?" Janet questioned with shocked eyes. Kara hugged herself as she, Chris and Gerard headed for the garage. Allison and Janet remained in the living room.
-"Relax, we'll protect you," Chris said with a reassuring voice, but Kara didn't feel reassured in any way. What made Kara so special for the thing? What would it do with her? Impale her on another rod? Turn her? Kill her?
-"I-I have a gun in my trunk!" Kara suddenly said, remembering that she put it there a few weeks back in time. It always laid there.
-"Which gun? I'm sure it's on display in the garage," Gerard said and looked curiously on Kara. He was also wondering what the alpha could want with her. She's one of the most normal humans he had ever seen. Except for the love of guns though.-"It's a custom built AK-74. I'm pretty sure you dont have it," Kara answered before she turned around, jogging to the living room. Her light feet barely made any sound on the wooden floor. She stopped by the front door, opening it slowly.
Kara looked around the front yard, not seeing any sign of the creature. Then she ran straight for her car, heading for the trunk. She quickly unlocked her car, opening the trunk. She picked the AK-74 up before shutting the trunk and locking the car again.
As Kara began heading back to the front door, something caught her attention. She stared off into the left side of the house, spotting those red eyes once again. She remembered them so well.
The alpha was just standing there, staring back at her. Kara picked up her speed, hurrying for the house. She ran inside, shutting the door with heavy force. Everyone was staring surprised at Kara - at the fact that she had a gun like that.
-"You seem like a psychopath with a gun like that. However, it's cool," Allison said, one eyebrow cocked up.
-"I prefer the word sociopath," Kara said and let out a low laugh. The laugh was quickly taken over by a grunt, and a burning pain.Kara hurled herself forward, placing a hand on top of her hip. The wound was almost killing her. It was much worse now than it was when she had been impaled on the rod.
-"Are you okay?!" Chris hurried up by her side, taking a look at Janet. She shrugged, not knowing what to do as well. Yes, she was a surgeon, but not exactly one with many years of experience.-"I-I'm just... God..." The next seconds passed, and a lot happened during those few seconds. Just as Kara passed out and fell to the floor, the front door was pushed open, the animal throwing his hands inside. It was obvious for everyone that he was targeting Kara, but Janet threw herself in front of her daughters passed out body. He gripped tightly around Janet, leaving away with her during the next second.
Kara was put in the guest room's bed, the others trying to figure out a plan. Kara laid out cold for two hours before she woke up.
Her eyes scanned the area around, nothing familiar calling out to her. It was then she remembered - the guest room in the Argent house. She scooted herself out of the bed and hurried down the hall.
-"No, I cant take that risk! She'll head right for his trap and get bit!" Chris' voice called out. Kara stopped in her path, listening to their conversation. Did Chris really care that much about her? Why should he?
