Kara smelled the shirt once again, feeling suddenly overwhelmed with worry. They would need to find him before Deucalion bothered to do something. Kara took the shirt away from her face, smelling the area around her. She tried to map the way his smell had left, focusing on nothing else.
-"We'll need the car," Kara said, making her way towards it. She waited for Allison while she got inside the passenger seat, smelling his shirt again. She let out a sigh, longing for the touch from him, aware that she still cared and loved him. She would need to find him, and whoever had taken him better had not given him one scratch.Allison got inside the car, starting the engine. She backed out of the driveway, giving Kara a questionable look.
-"Turn to the right. You know, I didn't expect this goddamn child to grow this quickly, but I'm expecting in a week or two most likely, Allison. We'll need to find your father, I'm just saying," Kara said, leaning back in the seat, rolling the window down. She smelled the air, still keeping a track on Chris' smell.-"Wait, are you being serious now?" Allison asked, throwing a glance at Kara. The werewolf could see it on her friend that she wasn't believed. She understood Allison though.
-"I'm afraid that I am, but don't worry about me, I'll be just f..." Kara trailed off, the smell hitting her like a brick. She pushed herself forward, peeking her head out through the window. She knew it was Chris' scent she was locked on, and the strong scent of iron told her one thing. Chris was hurt, and he was bleeding, possibly a lot as well. "Turn left, now. I think he's hurt."Allison obeyed Kara's orders, turning left and leaving the main road. Kara felt nervous, aware that Allison was stressed and worried. Her foot was glued onto the pedal, and she didn't bother to move it off to brake either. In worst case, Kara would end up dead before the day had ended. And hopefully the cops wouldn't see them either.
-"You know, you could slow down a bit!" Kara snapped, feeling worried. She saw how Allison brought her eyes down at the dashboard, reading her current speed. Allison quickly sped down, staying at the limit. "Perhaps you should let me drive for a while. You're clearly too worried to drive safely." Allison didn't say anything, but she nodded and pulled off the road, parking the car.
Kara let out a shaky breath as they switched sides, and Kara pulled back onto the road. Kara smelled Chris' shirt, rolled down the window and searched for his scent once again, which she found.
-"I think I've figured where he is, and who has him," Kara said, feeling hesitant. Her suspicion had been true, and she felt more furious and worried.-"Who would even bother to kidnap my father?" Allison asked, crossing her arms.
-"It's Deucalion. It seems like they're further out in the forest," Kara said, letting her heightened senses do their work. She knew that they had left the road, and therefore Kara did the same.
-"Why would Deucalion want my father?! Why are you driving off the road?!" Allison snapped, feeling uneasy. Kara could see the traced of his scent, and she could see where they had been driving.-"Well, I intend to find out why, and that'll be my job, not yours. I don't want you to leave this car," Kara said, aware that she kept certain things away from Allison.
-"Are you going to get both yourself and your child murdered? I'm coming along, and that's final!" Allison said, her eyes glued onto the forest ahead.
-"You should remain outside, and if you see anyone you should give me a heads up. I must protect Chris when I find him, and that's why I don't want you along. I won't be able to protect the both of you," Kara said, smelling once again.-"I'll come along, and if I prove to you that I can take care of myself, you must name your girl Evelyn, okay? If you get it right and that I should have remained outside, you can name her whatever you want to. Is that a deal?" Allison said, letting out a short laugh.
-"I don't see how it's a deal at all, but sure. I can promise you one thing, Allison, and it's the fact that Deucalion won't ever hurt me, but he can hurt you," Kara said, shaking her head. Kara felt herself drift off into a flashback, her memories coming back to her.
