Third Person POV

5.00pm couldn't have come sooner. Each one of them was nervous and they had the right to be so. It was not everyday cross country practice was held in the old gym. Not only did it seem suspicious, but rather unusual. However they all ignored their gut feeling and arrived at the old gym at the designated time.

Charlie Swayer was among the first one to arrive at the gym. He was known for his academics. A student who spent more time with his books then he did with his friends. He fit into the stereotypical group of what students commonly called a nerd. Although his hair wasn't ginger, nor did he have braces. Instead, he was one of those good looking nerds: brown hair complimenting his tanned skin, black frame sitting on his aquiline nose, enhancing the little brown eyes.

Next to arrive was Do Tanshui. She was a quite person. Most people did not even notice her presence. Even she kept to herself, not making many friends. The only people she was surrounded by were teachers, her only friends. Yet, she stood out in the crowd for her talent and hidden beauty. Most of the people praised her for the musical magic she had in her finger while others, but not many, saw her beauty. She was a beautiful mixture of Indian and Korean genes. Her should length hair with blond streaks just added to her beauty. Even with all the advantages she had, the students had defined her as an outcast.

Richard Odinson came third in his Aston Martin One-77. The cloths and perfume he wore, the car he drove, the way he walked, everything spoke in volume to the class he belonged to, the high class. The prince as he was known around the school, his stereotypical classification. His hair neatly gelled to one side, his cloths ironed to perfection. His walk showed the sophistication that was in his blood. The electric blue eyes were his key feature, truly mesmerising. Despite his serious outer image, he was a clown. The irony itself was surprising, people who should fear him, laughed at him, at his jokes.

The second last to come was Feromichelle Day. His confidence went over the roof as he bouncily walked. With his popularity and image, anyone could share his level of confidence. He was popular among his peers, captain of the soccer team and girls were head over heels for him, what else could a high school boy ask for! His messy blond hair, blue eyes and sport clothing reflected his stereotypical image of a jock. While he had popularity, he lacked common sense or as other students referred him as an idiot.

Remell, also famously known as, Rem was the last to stroll in coolly. The black skinny jeans, lose white top along with black jacket and white Jordan were her signature attire. Black eyeliner made her green eyes stand out and her light brown hair in a lose high pony went well with her rest of the outfit. She had a perfect image of the rebel, as she was stereotypical categorised. She was also a beauty in disguise. But no one is prefect and neither was she. Everyone knew Rem was known was speaking out, standing up for herself and occasionally others but other than that it was her temper that made other students steer clear of her way. Although from outside she was the 'tough gal' but from the inside she was an oversensitive person that no one had ever seen.

"Well, well, well, look who we have here! If it isn't the little old nerd here on time...AGAIN!!" Feromichelle commented mockingly. "I bet he was here 20 minutes early just so he could be in the good books of the coach, eh nerd?! What do you have to say to that?"

"Just because you are not in the good books of the teacher does not mean you need to pull down others who are better than you" Charlie shot back his comment almost immediately.

His comeback took everyone by surprise and earned him a few encouraging snickers from the little crowd.

"I don't have time to talk to the likes of you" Feromichelle said after a few seconds delay, not wanting his reputation to be stained.

Charlie wore a victorious smile after the end of argument knowing he had defeated his bully. Minutes passed as silence enveloped the old gym again before Richard decided to make a conversation with the group.

"So anyone excited for the senior camp next week? I think it will be a great time. Don't you all reckon?" Richard said his voice laced with enthusiasm.

"Oh boy! I thought you did never ask. I am excited as hell! " Feromichelle commented sarcastically.

"But on the serious note, I can't wait to get away from school for 4 days." He continued without any sarcasm this time.

"I have to agree with the jock. Away from home and school." Rem said lost in her own thoughts. "And what about you..." she said looking in the direction of the quite girl that had been present the whole time yet been invisible.

"Tanshui...Do Tanshui. I guess you could say I am looking forward for this camp." Do Tanshui replied in a quiet voice.

Rem smiled at her response. "And you...Charlie, right?"

Charlie looked at Rem in astonishment. "You know my name?"

"Yeah I do. I have high respect for people who stand up for themselves." Rem gave a warm smile to him.

Suddenly Charlie's confidence level boosted and he adjusted his glasses, "I love camps, especially now that summer is coming. I think the senior camp's timing couldn't have been more perfect!"

"Hahaha! I have to agree with you. I can smell the barbeque already in the air." Richard said stretching out his arm, inhaling deeply.

"Gotta agree with you on this one man! I can smell it too." Feromichelle replied.

"Umm...on the contrary I don't think that's a barbeque we can smell." Do Tanshui said looking around with a worried expression.

Her quiet statement caught everyone's attention.

Then suddenly Rem broke out, "Shit! Fire!!!"
