Buzz! Buzz! Buzz!

My eyes shot open and I groaned. My phone was clearly on vibrate and it was buzzing all over the damn place. I jumped up from the bed, being careful not to wake Daryl up. I picked up his button down shirt and put it on before grabbing my phone and going into the bathroom to answer it.

"What?" I hissed as I picked up my toothbrush and splattered it with toothpaste.

"What do you mean, what? I've been calling you for hours, I thought that redneck did something to you," Kat yelled and my hangover made my head throb painfully as I brushed my teeth. "Bradley tells me he's no good, Amber! Please listen to him, he knows what he's talking about. Amber..." I quickly rinsed out my mouth and washed my face as she kept on complaning about how I left the bar without her and how I could have gotten killed.

"So how was sleeping with Brad?" I changed the subject.

"It was amazing!" she squealed and I rolled my eyes. "Actually he's making me breakfast as we speak. He's so sweet." I chuckled.

"Well, don't keep him waiting," I told her and walked out into the bedroom. "I'll be fine."

"Okay girl. You know I love you and sorry for missing your birthday. Though I don't think you minded at all." I could almost hear her smirk.

I giggled. "No I didn't and I love you too."

"You better!" she joked but then she got serious. "Look I'm sorry for over reacting. If you like this Dixon guy then who am I to stop you. If you approve, I approve."

I beamed. "See, this is why you're the best!" She chuckled. "Now take care and call me when you're coming home." I hung up the phone and lifted my head only to see Daryl buttoning his jeans and lacing his work boots back on in a hurry. "You're leaving so soon? Don't you want to eat breakfast or something?"

Daryl grunted and looked around for his shirt. "I don't think yer boyfriend'll like that."

"Boyfriend? I don't have a boyfriend." I said confused.

Daryl rolled his eyes and pointed to a picture of Spencer and Abigail. "I heard ya' tell 'em ya' love 'em a minute ago on the phone." He looked around and I crossed my arms when he saw that I had his shirt on. Sighing, he walked up to me and started unbuttoning it. I placed my fingers on top of his and he paused.

"That's my brother and his daughter in the picture." Daryl's body relaxed a bit but he still wouldn't meet my eyes. "And I was on the phone with Kat, she thought you had kidnapped me." Daryl's lips twitched upwards. "I'm single and last night was awesome."

Daryl nodded. "It was," he paused and rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly. I smirked, one would think he was a virgin and completely new to this but after last night, I don't think his lack of virginity should ever be questioned. The soreness between my thighs can vouch for that. "We ain't use a..."

"Condom?" I supplied and he nodded looking at the wall. I chuckled. "I use birth contorl, don't worry about it. I have a year's supply."

He nodded in deep thought. "Wou-Would ya' like to maybe do it again?" He cut himself off blushing and I smirked. "Wait! I don't mean it, I mean go on a date." I raised an eyebrow. "Not that last night was a date it's just, ya' don't have to if ya' don't want to. I mean, I want to but-"

I giggled. "You're too fucking cute Dixon and yes, of course I would like to go on a date with you again and maybe even fuck afterwards," I winked.

Daryl smiled, a real smile for the first time since I've met him. And I loved it.

"So ya' never worked a day in yer life?" Daryl asked me a few weeks later at the bar.
