The night soon progressed and my redneck kept on avoiding me. I recieved a lot of attention from the rest of the men in the bar but I wanted his. I'm not sure what it was but the thought of not being wanted irked me. He HAS to like me or at least find me attractive enough to have sex. What if he's gay?Another Tyler perhaps? Oh no,I think I'd cry. I needed to know and I needed to know, now.

"Hey Blossom!" I beckoned over a red haired country girl, who looked like she worked here. She hiked over to me in her boots, looking like Wendy with those pigtails and smiled warmly at me.

"Hello miss, my name's Mary. What can I do for ya' darlin'?"

I smiled, a genuine smile. This girl was a sweetheart.

"Hello Mary, I'm Amber and I was wondering if you can tell me a little bit about Dixon," I asked softly but the look on her face made me add. "Not Merle his brother."

She sighed relieved and looked around before leaning in, whispering the much awaited gossip. "Oh well, that's Daryl you're talking about. He doesn't talk much but lord does that boy have a temper! I wouldn't recommend you to talk to him, it'd only be a waste of time. Daryl never talks to girls and if he does, he's drunk."

I nodded, taking in the information. "Oh...alright. So he's not gay?"

Mary laughed loudly. "Oh no honey, Daryl Dixon is NOT a homosexual. Merle would kill him. He's just very shy in my opinion. You know, very closed off. I never heard him talk for more than a minute and that's when he's drunk a few beers. Plus, I heard he has people issues," she paused. "Why? Do ya' like 'em?"

I giggled. "Yes, I do! He's not married or anything is he?"

She shook her head. "Nope, I don't even believe he's ever had a girlfriend. All I know is he lives with his brother Merle and doesn't really socialize with no one else."

I nodded and smiled at her."Oh well, that's interesting and hey, I'll keep everything you told me in mind." Liar! "You have been such a good help, Mary."

"No problem, Sugar."

Then I watched as she went back to wherever she came from. I lifted a finger to my chin and began to think. It's obvious that this Daryl guy won't put out unless he's drunk. You sound like a pedophile! I scoffed. Pedophile? He's probably in his late thiries or something. If anything my angel faces makes me look like the minor. Walking again, I decided to take a chance and go for it. Perhaps? Invite him for a drink.

I walked all the way next to the pool table and paused a few inches from him. He was distracted so I leaned into his ear and lowered my voice to a nice sultry tone.

"What's your name, big boy?"

He jumped in surprise and gulped. "D-Daryl Dixon."

I hid a smile. His shyness was oldly attractive. Usually, guys would try to get at me like Merle did but Daryl's just standing there awkwardly. I smirked seductively and held out my hand. Baby steps, I thought.  For now. He shook it hesitantly.

"Well Daryl, my names Amber Greene, it's a pleasure to meet you." He nodded unsure of what to say so I pointed towards the bar. "Would you like to grab a drink with me?"

"Me?" He seemed shocked, like I had lost my marbles or something. He paused and looked around making sure that I was talking to him. I giggled and nodded. "Why?" He asked while bitting on his thumb nail which I found it oddly attractive. "There's a lotta guys 'round here. Why not one of 'em?"

I frowned. He lacked self-esteem, that's for sure. We're going to have to fix that.

"Because you're hot!" I exclaimed and Daryl blushed a bit but tried to hide it. I found it adorable. "Plus it's my birthday and I want you." His face grew even more hot at the double meaning.
