Chapter 1.
My eyes snapped open at the first movement that sent me flying to the corner. The loud rattling sound of metal boomed in my ears as I struggled to remain balance on the shaking ground. The air was stale and stinky as if something rotten had been left here for years. Darkness was my only company in this lonely place, even my memories had choose to abandon me at this time of need.
Everything went on for quite a while and time was not something I could have a grasp on. Dizziness and confusion slowly devouring parts of me while I waited for someone to finally notice me in this scary darkness that I'm trapped in.
And then it stopped.
A beam of brightness bursted in, blinding my eyes. I squinted, holding my hand above my eyes and strained to peek beyond the light. "It's a girl again." Someone said and more gasp followed after. "Pull her up." Another voice ordered and a hand stretched out towards me.
"Grab it shuckface." The boy said, wiggling his hand a little at my face and probably a little annoyed that I wasn't following his words. I frowned at him. I didn't like the tone in his voice; It was demanding and had a slight edge in them.
"What are you waiting for shuckface? Just grab my hand." His square jaw clenched and swept away the blonde locks that had fallen onto his eyes. For some reason, his thick accent struck a form of familiarity in my head. I winced. Flashes of images sped past in my head and voices started picking up its volume in my ears.
Solo. None of the weird flashes stayed but only a name lingered behind all the pain and confusion. "I know that face. Remember anything? Your name?" He asked and the others beside him just stared at me. I nodded. "You can't talk?"
I refused to answer and another boy shoved past him. His green eyes fuelled by annoyance as he spatted at me, "She is jacked. We should just leave her in there and let her die." As much as I didn't like the other boy, this one was worse. I wanted to rip his throat out the moment he spoke. I could see agreement in the eyes staring at me and decided otherwise. Who says I'm willing to die huh? I am going to live and beat the shit out of that cocky arse.
"Wait up Gally. She is just confused and we need her, she may know something. I mean the creators must have sent her here for a reason." The previous boy stepped forth and nudged Gally back. Gally doesn't seems to appreciate his suggestion well and started shooting fire at Nice boy, "The creators said Teresa was the last and the box stopped working! She is definitely up to something. We can't trust her." I scowled at those two busy arguing and helped myself out the box.
I grabbed onto the metal wire and hoisted myself up the box carefully and swiftly. The others who caught my little stunt retreated a few steps backwards to allow me a stand on the ground while the other stayed focused on Gally and Nice boy's arguments.
Their argument was getting slightly out of the hand when Gally began getting all handy and grabby. And as if on instinct, my limbs began moving without my command and I tackled Gally to the ground, launching punches onto his startled face.
"Get the jacked greenie out of my face." Gally yelled as he grappled underneath me. Seconds later, hands began grabbing onto my shoulder but I kept going on, wrestling against the hand and landed one more punch onto his purpled cheek. More hands began subduing me down and another pair grabbed my waist, yanking me off Gally.
I scuffled out of the hands and Nice boy quickly stood in front of me. "Hold it greenie."
"Name's Solo." I mumbled, my voice hoarse and strained. My voice sounded really weird; It sounded like someone had stomped down hard onto my throat a couple times and damaged my vocal cords.
