LOST {HICCSTRID}

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Riding on her dragon, she was very nervous and scared. It was completely a huge risky idea, but the only way; for her village, for her mother in law, for her daughter, for Hiccup.

Astrid couldn't help it. She was going to a war that could make her life end.

"Astrid? Are you alright?"

She looked back and saw Heather with a worried face. She sighed.

"I'm fine. I just can't get rid of stuff." Heather gave her a bored face.

"We both know it's not true. You are worried about Hiccup and scared about not seeing him again." Astrid widens her eyes.

"You are not allowed to read my mind; especially when it's about my private things." Heather laughed.

"Okay! But seriously, can't you just admit that for the first time in your life you scared about something?" again, Astrid sighed.

"I admitted before. I really scared of losing my family." Heather nodded with a smile. For a while it was a silent between them. They could just hear dragon's wings and the song of the wind.

Astrid was looking down and letting Stormfly to be the leader herself. A tear fell from her eye. She remembered Sapphire. Her beautiful daughter, she knows if she dies, Sapphire will never see her mother. Also if she turns back, Drago and Dagur will kill them. She didn't have any choice.

"Astrid, look!" Heather shouted as she was pointing forward.

Astrid looked up and saw an island, well exactly Dragon Island; the place for the war between them. They flew closer and Dagur noticed them.

"Well, well, look what we have here; my dear sister with a new friend." Heather frowned and tightened her eyes, seeing her unwanted brother made her angry. Astrid was still unknown for him. Since everyone thought she was dead, nobody expects to see her again.

"We have no time for this Dagur. Let's make a deal: Stop the war and make it end or you will be sorry for what will happen." Astrid warned.

Dagur thought about it or at least act like this. Then he grinned and stepped back letting Drago come from behind.

"But I say that war will be the best choice." Drago said and pointed the girls with his bull hook, gestured his dragons to kill them.

"AHHHH!" he shouted as the dragons flew toward the Astrid's group. Astrid took out her axe and took a deep breath.

"I'll do that for you Hiccup!"

"Hiccup! What are you doing?"Valka asked again as her son was making his saddle ready.

"You realized what the sound means. I should go before those freaks kill them." He was making his saddle tighter.

"You can't do that alone. They are a lot and besides, what if something happens to you?" Valka was too worried.

"Who said I'm alone? I have the gang, experienced riders and also Toothless and you. If we stick together till the end, nothing will stop us." Then Sapphire caught up them.

"Dad! The riders are ready waiting for you."

"Got it. Mom! You please come with me and Sapphire will stay here."

"But dad! I'm coming with you!" she argued.

"No Sapphire! You will stay here. It's too dangerous for a little girl like you." He hoped on Toothless.

"But you said I'm not that little anymore." She was too stubborn. Hiccup sighed and got closer to her as he was still on Toothless.

"Look! My dear daughter, I can't let you to go in a war that can kill you. What will happen if I lose you? I can never forgive myself." he has tears in his eyes."You will be here and take care of Berk. Just make sure everyone is safe. It's still a very important responsibility." Hiccup kissed her forehead and turned to her mother.
