"The cave? Are you serious?" Astrid yelled as she looked at Hiccup astonished. Hiccup just smiled and looked at her normally.
"Yep!" he emphasized the 'p'."Is there any problem with that?" he raised an eyebrow.
"No, I just surprised when you chose this place for...I don't know...showing your Hiccupy ways?" both Hiccup and Astrid chuckled.
"Well, kind of. But still, I couldn't find any better place to...revive my best remembrances." He smiled at her. Astrid shocked and looked back at him. They both knew what he meant.
The first place they showed their feelings, their loves toward each other. Their privet place when they didn't want to get catch by others. The place they spent every single time they got to be together...
"Okay." she whispered. They sat on grass and let the dragons to make fire. They made a small camp and with no words they circled around the fire, leaned to their dragons.
For a while, they didn't exchange any words to each other. That awkwardness of their atmosphere was killing them. They both wanted to talk, but didn't know how to start. They married, they kissed, they had a daughter, people consider them as one, and they should be as close as possible, but now...
They couldn't be the same as they were years ago. Ten years with no sign of each other touches. A decade caused them to be far from each other, even in their emotions. A long distance between them made them to be nervous with each other. But still, both were trying to start over.
Hiccup even opened his mouth sometimes but nothing came from it. He wanted to say; to say he missed her much and wants to just keep her as close as possible. He wanted to say he could never be mad at her, but he thought she lost her interest in him after ten years distance.
But on the other hand...
Astrid couldn't even look up at him. Shame and embarrassment and fear have drawn her. She knew he is mad. She was expecting to see his angry face in every second. That's why she wouldn't like to come with him; she thought he wants to argue with her in somewhere else. But she didn't know all of those weren't true.
"Here..." a voice snapped her out from her thought. She looked up and saw Hiccup offering a stick with a fish.
"When did he cook that? I've been in deep thought!" she thought to herself.
"Uhm...Thank you..." she said unsurely and took it. Hiccup looked up at sky, trying to find a good word to start a conversation with her.
"The fish is a bit raw." 'Nice try idiot'
Astrid bit a slice of it." a bit, but still good."
"Yeah, mine too." He said." I don't know how I have been living in years, while I was eating either raw food or my mother's cooking."He chuckled nervously as Astrid tried to laugh along with him but couldn't do her best.
Astrid became upset of what he said and looked down. Hiccup looked at her and then realized what he just said.
"No, Astrid! I didn't mean that. I'm sorry I was just joki-"
"No it's fine! And I don't blame you because you are right." She sighed." Besides, I'm not saying if I was there, I could be useful..."
"What do you mean?" Hiccup asked and tried to look at her but she looked away every time he tried.
"Even if I didn't leave, I wouldn't be a great cook, or a great mother, or a great wife." A tear escaped from her eye." I could never make up those years for Sapphire or you."
Hiccup sighed and stood up, began walking toward her. She sniffed and wiped her nose as he got on one knee in front of her.
"Who said you are not a great mother? Or a great wife? For me, you are the best!" He held her hands in to his. Astrid shook her head.
