It was raining when you woke up and it didn't seem like it would stop any time soon, and because of this you honestly thought the god and gods of every religion were crying with you and your friends. A sobbing Yamato on your shoulder unable to hold back the sounds of pain due to the loss of his lover.

Kakashi had been found dead jusy two days ago, and today was the day for his funeral. An abundance of people there to share in the mourning for the great Shinobi, but most of the tears were coming from those who knew him well. Naruto seeming to try and hold back every little whimper and tear he could as he stood next to Sakura who continued to try to stop her own tears as Guy gave out a memorial speech to Kakashi. His own usually positive voice and attitude heavy with sorrow of the loss of his best rival and friend.

The air was heavy, regretful, and silent except for the sound of crying and rain. Your own tears being held back by the constant rubbing of your face so you could support the brunette using you as a shoulder to cry on. Quite literally in fact with how his face was nuzzled against your shirt along your shoulder.

Yamato was handling his loss of his lover horribly. The two of them having been with each other for a long time it was heartbreaking for them to be separated in such a way. Especially with how Kakashi was found simply left to rot in a pool of his own blood. The ex-ANBU member felt absolutely hopeless without his love there now and every little whimper and sob he made as he cried was because of the death.

Guy seemed to also be handling this loss with difficulty. His eyes seeming to show sadness for the first time in his entire existence. At least you guessed that with how positive he usually was, and even now the clad green ninja was positive. Though there was a heavy weight on his shoulders just like there was one on everyone else. His weight seeming to simply be lighter with how naturally happy he was, mainly being positive as he spoke of Kakashi who was now sealed in a coffin.

Keeping your eyes low as you listened to the mixed noises of Guy's speech and little sobs from Yamato and everyone else around you finally began to really cry yourself. Knowing your friend was now gone making your chest tighten and with all the sadness in the air you finally couldn't hold in the sorrow. Crying quietly compared to some of the others around simply to continue being a good shoulder for Yamato.

Your mind seeming to drift away from the sounds of crying and the sorrowful air of the funeral you began to think about the now deceased Shinobi. How great of a friend he was and how he was an even better hero. A true hero. A hero who died to soon and for all the wrong reasons. The fact his killer was unknown simply making your heart sink as you closed your eyes and wept. Not noticing the silence of Guy till you felt a pressure on your shoulder that wasn't having a sobbing Yamato against it. Guy standing there and smiling faintly as if to help console you or something similar to that.

The rest of the funeral would be consisting of simply more tears and the placing of delicate flowers on to the coffin for Kakashi. The leaving of everyone being silent as you and Yamato simply waited quietly for Kakashi to be put into the ground. It was like a way for both of you to really accept he was long gone and there was no way to really bring him back.

Seeing this seemed to only bring Yamato more pain though as he wiped his eyes and let out a few sniffles before you held onto his shoulder. Finally deciding it was time to talk to him and to try and actually comfort him a bit more. You actually needed comforting too, and you felt like going home and talking about your friend to his lover would help with the mourning.

"Yamato. If you want you can come over and we can talk about Kakashi if you want."

They were simple words really. A simple suggestion and one that seemed to gain the brunette's attention as he blinked away his tears and his naturally wide eyes seemed to focus onto you before he nodded with a small "Mhm."

You honestly thought of a child when you looked at Yamato now. His eyes somewhat puffy from crying and pouting as he looked at you with a slight slouch in his shoulders. It was saddening to see him like this, but you knew you probably looked just as sorrowful, so you finally decided it was time to go. Walking next to Yamato with little conversation about Kakashi that was somewhat short with how he would hush himself as if still trying to think about the loss.

Getting drunk was not in your mind when you first arrived with Yamato to your house. Though with how you had wine around from the occasional lonely Saturday night it was an idea to simply have something to drink to help relax the nerves. Just keeping it to a minimum though as you sat next to Yamato and letting out a light sigh before taking your first sip with Yamato mimicking your action.

"Why did it have to be him?"

You furrowed your brow at this as you looked over to the shinobi who's eyes were focused onto the wine in his glsss. Your lips pulling into a thin line as you tried to think of some way to answer without causing so much sorrow and making sense. Though you had no words.

"I don't know, Yamato. The world is just cruel sometimes I guess," you finally replied as the brunette simply nodded in agreement before taking another sip of the wine and letting the bitter taste calm his nerves in every way it could with being a very weak alcohol. His eyes seeming to go from wide to narrow as he closed his eyes slightly.

You knew he was hurting, and damn you were hurting to. This loss was a pit in your stomach and a strike to your own heart. Your pain wasn't like Yamato's, that was obvious, because he was in so much more torment simply due to relations. This thought coming to mind making you think of another way to get Yamato to talk it out. "What was it like with Kakashi? You don't have to answer. I just thought-"

"No it's fine. He was amazing. I thought having him as a senpia was great, but as a lover... it was like everything was perfect," Yamato explained with a faint smile as he recollected the thoughts of one of the most important people in his life. His eyes still showing sorrow, but he seemed more relaxed now that he was able to remember when Kakashi was alive and they were happy.

Honestly, you couldn't see Kakashi with anyone else but with Yamato. Once they got together the idea of them apart didn't settle with you. They were so happy with each other and even though they fought like any other couple. Kakashi's loyalty and Yamato's trust seemed to put things into an order all over again. It was something you envied. Seeing as your love life wasn't as joyous, but you still were very happy for the two.

The two of you would spend what was about three hours talking about the Copy Ninja and all of his great qualities. Yamato mainly speaking and you listening, bug you liked to listen to your friend recall happy memories knowing it was helping him. The brunette smiling to himself with every little story he told to you about him and Kakashi like the day they first said I love you and how Yamato had actually come on quite strong to Kakashi. Allowing you both a good laugh as he explained his humoring efforts. It was something enjoyed and Yamato seemed much better when he left with his glass of wine still full of the alcoholic beverage much like your own.

The rest of your day would be a quiet one simply going back to recall little memories about Kakashi. Like seeing his face for the first time and seeing the dark beauty mark he had. Having never suspected him to have one but he did. Along with other little memories that made you smile and sometimes cry a bit with how much you missed your friend. Though you knew he was in a better place, or at least you thought that till the evening came and the sun disappeared and allowed the night to take shape.

You were lying in bed and the room was now silent and dark. The sad mood of the funeral wrapping itself around you again as your lonely mind began to think of the death of your friend. Leaving your eyes to become umable to be closed as you stared at the ceiling. Not moving a muscle till you heard a light rustle. Sitting up and looking around curiously before standing up from your bed. Going towards the sound that was outside of your room. Looking around as you tried to pin point the sound till you reached a closet. Opening it up to see one of your work papers from one of your last missions was set at the door.

It was odd to you, and looking around and trying to find what had caused the paper to rustle and blow around you found no source except for a slight chill you guessed was a possible draft. Simply deciding to take care of it in the day when you were awake and had enough energy to complete the action to find the area causing air to pass through. Simply shrugging it off for now and closing it after picking up the paper and putting it on your table so you would remember to fill it out entirely tomorrow. Going back to bed without any other occurance.
