You felt like you should have asked a lot of questions. Like "Is that you?!" or even "I thought you were dead!", but none of that happened, and the question you did ask was a bit more out of the blue then asking your obviously ghostly friend then how they were there in the first place.
"Why are you in my closet?!"
A small silence was created by this, Kakashi seeming shocked you could even see him as he stood there with no reply. He had changed. The usual headband that hid his Sharingan had been lifted up and revealed the scar across his eye, still closed, but it seemed like he needed to. He just kept it closed naturally maybe. Along with this his skin seemed a bit shaded to tint blue, and his entire body including his clothing (that seemed to match the clothing he wore most often when alive), but the part that made you know this was not the living Kakashi you had seen in his coffin wss the pale transparency he had.
He was slightly able to be seen through, not a lot, but it seemed noticiable with some focus, and it made you start to calm and realize your friend wasn't alive and in your closet, but his spirit was there it seemed.
"I got stuck in here." Kakashi finally spoke, and even that was different. It sounded almost like it was under water, or being spoken through a set of filters making it hushed to your ears. It bothered you, and you found yourself frozen as you looked up at your deceased friend.
It took a moment, but you finally found words. "But, how? I mean, how are you here? Why? Kakashi-" You began to start what would have been rambling, but Kakashi raised his hand up to make you go quiet, and it worked, seeing as you shut your mouth and was now simply staring at the Hatake. Kakashi seeming to realize that you were about to begin to set into a minor panic with seeing him there. He knew he was dead, so he was able to notice you were about to question him, and he knew he could only answer so many questions.
"It's hard to explain-"
"Kakashi I went to your funeral two days ago. How are you here?"
Your own reaction to your words seemed to say enough that you had blurted out the question without thought. Kakashi's eye widening slightly before going back to a calm and half lidded look ,"I thought so, I've been like this for awhile I think. Time doesn't really seem to be as orderly as it is now, but I only got here around last night I think," the Copy Ninja tried to explain how long he had been a ghost. Unsure how it worked or if there was rules to this all, but he knew time seemed more confusing then before with how he felt like he was in three places at once.
The first place he felt like he was in was well, where he appeared to be, in front of you and on the planet, but another part of him seemed to be fading in out towards some grey area he couldn't describe, but guessed was limbo or something seeing as whenever he saw a glance of it past his eye everything was in shades of grey and dim lit monochromatic colors. Then the third, the light he had denied when he died. Kakashi could still see it when he faded towards the limbo, and it seemed to try and get close to him during the day, which he would fade almost entirely into the grey to avoid. He still seemed to be unable to enter the bright yellow trail, so his spirited body seemed to hide from it now.
You didn't understand anything as of now. Kakashi hadn't explained anything, and with how he said he felt like time wasn't right only made you feel more and more lost. "Kakashi tell me what's going on please, why aren't you haunting Yamato or something, how are you even here?!" you yelped now with how your voice was on the verge of cracking due to nervousness. Everything was confusing and you felt so lost, but Kakashi seemed to simply sigh and being walking out of the door, sliding past you (albeit his arm going through your own, it made you cold), and turning back as if ready for more questions.
"Look I'll explain as best as I can, but let's leave the closet alone," Kakashi stated, leaving you to only follow and close the door without much thought on what was now happening. Closing the closet door and following the grey haired nin who simply walked into the living room.
Sitting down Kakashi leaned back on the couch and relaxed while you still stood, trying to think of what you could ask. Making a moment's eye contact with your friend who seemed to know you wanted to ask something and nodded his head as a way to accept such. Leaving you to think a single moment before speaking a single question.
"Kakashi, who killed you?"
