Murdar found herself outside a forbidden part of Gallifrey, a place so old and unused it seemed to have been forgotten by all except a few Time Lords. Those Time Lords weren't there now though, they were all searching for her, to bring her in for punishment. She didn't understand why... she was just a child... she couldn't control the Untampered Vortex's pull. A throat cleared behind her and she whirled around.

"Who's there?" She called out searching the dark orange lit land around her.

The Burglar slipped out of the shadows and walked over. "What are you doing here Pessimist? Shouldn't you be on your way to the Time Academy?"

"I c-can't... I can't go there." She shook her head. "Haven't you heard? Hasn't someone told you?"

She gave her a confused look. "What's happened?"

"I can't stay. The Teacher, Mother, is trying to convince them otherwise but..." Murdar sighed. "I don't think she'll convince them."

"So why are you at the weapons' vault? This could get your punishment increased!" Her friend hissed and looked around for anyone else. "Come on, you can stay at my place for a bit."

"I have to leave... I'll come back in a few centuries perhaps." She went into the vault. "I just need to grab a few things first."

"Weapons? Do you plan on killing someone?" Burglar followed her down deeper into the room. "Pessimist, answer me!"

"That isn't who I am!" Murdar shouted back glaring at her friend, between the screaming in her mind and Burglar questioning her... it gave her a migraine. "I'm The Outcast now... I should've been in the first place. I don't belong anywhere."

"That isn't true." Burglar replied. "At least you didn't run away from the pain and fear. I'm The Burglar for crying out loud and I ran! You, only half a Time Lord, stayed."

"And look what happened. I died! I bloody died and when I woke up they wanted me dead!" Murdar fumed before grabbing unused energy shields and tossing them in a bag. "I can't stay here anymore... You should go before you're caught as well."

"You need my help if you want to do this successfully, you made it too easy to follow your trail."

Murdar stared at her friend for a few more seconds before nodding. "Fine but if things go bad leave me. Save yourself, you don't have to go down like I will."

She continued putting various weapons in the bag before stumbling upon a shelf full of gauntlets, a pair was already missing, but she ignored it and grabbed another. After all, if someone hadn't noticed the first pair missing why would they notice all of the stuff she took. Murdar turned to leave when The Guard stepped down into the vault, his gaze cold as it landed on them.

"What are you doing here?" He asked and held up a hand wearing one of the missing gauntlets.

"Burglar run... Get out of here." Murdar ordered before pointing to one of the newer versions of the TARDIS. "Use the bracelets."

"No one moves!" Guard shouted and held up both gauntlets.

"Ismia, just do it! You didn't do anything wrong!" She pulled out her Soul Knife and ran at Guard, taunting him as she did so. "You gutless craven, I bet you can't even use that!"

The blast blew her dark brown hair flat against her head and she glanced back in time to watch Ismia turn to ash. Guard grabbed her before she could get away and Murdar struggled for a moment before pressing the button on her TARDIS choker. The world changed around her.

When she opened her eyes the vault was empty, it was only a few minutes until Burglar and her past self would enter... she had to move quickly. She grabbed the bracelets and put the TARDIS in easy reach and sight of where Burglar would be standing. Murdar heard voices from outside and quickly teleported again... Burglar would not die this time.

Murdar blinked awake as another scream filled the air, looking around her she found a familiar looking figure limp off, a trail of blood droplets shadowed her, before disappearing with a press of a button on their bracelet. A shadow passed over her and she turned her gaze upward to find Ianto aiming a handgun at her head.

"Get up, don't try to run." He growled.

She slowly got to her feet, a bit confused when her wounds didn't protest; looking down she found they were gone, the last few nanogenes disappearing as her wounds finished healing. Murdar smirked and knocked the gun aside before pulling out her knife and holding up her left gloved hand.

"Down on the ground and I will consider letting you live." She hissed, anger in her gaze... though it wasn't completely with him.

Ianto didn't move. "Why would I allow you to kill me?"

"I can erase you from history!" She shouted, energy focusing into the glove.

"Do it!" Ianto challenged. "Killing me doesn't bring others back! It only makes you a murderer."

Murdar flinched and lowered the glove slightly. "It should've worked... The knife brings people back; I've seen it... I was just too late..."

"Put down the weapons." Ianto commanded as he took a step forward and pulled out a pair of cuffs. "Torchwood has some questions for you."

She lunged at him as the cold band was clipped around her wrist, a gunshot rang out but the bullet merely hit the ground as she kicked Ianto in the chest and started running. Looking back she saw the Torchwood agent quickly recovering and beginning to follow.

"You're slower than a dried up slug!" She threw the insult over her shoulder as she found a fire escape and rapidly ascended to the roof, by the time he followed her up she would be gone, hopefully she could find the Time Lord Ianto had shot... she had seemed so familiar.
