Chapter 5

As the week went by, it was now Friday, and I really had to tell dad now. I go downstairs and see dad cleaning the shotgun. "Dad." I start. "Yeah?" He asks. I start fumbling around with my fingers. "I have a boyfriend. And his family wants to meet me tomorrow." I say. He puts his gun down, and looks at me. "Who is he?" He asks me. "Jasper Cullen. Or Hale." I say softly. He smiled. "Good for you Hun. Isn't that Doctor Cullen's son?" He asks me. I nod. "One of them." I say. He pursed his lips and nodded. "Okay, how old is he?" He asks me. "17." I state. He nodded again.

He waited for this question. "Does he treat you right?" He asks me. I nod. "Yes dad. I'm not like Bella who'd let a guy treat her bad. I'll kick his ass if he didn't treat me right." I state. He laughed. "I know. I'm just making sure your doing the right thing for you." He says. I smiled and hugged him. "Oh." He said as I practically tackled him with a bear hug. "I love you dad." I say. He smiled. "I love you too." He said. Then we pulled apart when the doorbell rang. I looked at him confused, but he looked just as confused as I did. "Who could it be this early in the morning?" He asks me. I shrug and we walk to the door. He opens it and it reveals Billy and Jake.

They both frowned. But started smiling when they saw me. Billy held some fish fry in his lap. He wheeled himself on in. Jacob's hair was still long. He glared at me. "We gotta talk." He said, his voice a little bit deeper. "Okay. Where do you wanna go." I asked him. He nodded and I told dad I'll go to school after I talk to Jake. He lead us out in the woods. "Talk." I say. He huffed. "Why don't we hang out anymore?" He asks me. I laugh. "Because I moved. You fell in love with Bella, and you love her. You wanted to hang out with Bella instead of Quil, Embry and I. That's how it's always been, Jacob. And that's how it's always gonna be." I yell at him as I walk off to my car.

I get in, really pissed off, and drive to school. I pull into my parking spot and get out. Jasper then is by my side, his hand in mine. He looked at me concerned. "What wrong love?" He asks me. He sent a wave of calmness and relaxation onto me. "Thank you. And Jacob Black." I said. He stiffened. "Jacob Black? The mutt?" He asks me, and I looked at him with confusion. "Jacob's a werewolf?" I ask him lowly. He nodded. "Yes, but he hasn't turned yet." He explained and I nodded. "He and his dad came over today and he wanted to talk. He asked me why we don't hang out anymore, and I told him it was because he fell in love with Bella. He would rather spend time falling in love with Bella, then spend time with me, and our two other best friends, and I drove off." I explain. He squeezed my hand gently as we walked to class.

We got to biology and started on our project. "What did your father say?" He asks me. I smiled at him. "He said I picked a good choice, and yes." I told him and he smiled back. "Good, I'll pick you up at 9?" He asks me. I nod and blush. Then, biology ended, so did P.E., pre-cal, history and art, it was now lunch time. Jasper walked me to every single one of my classes, and I think it's really sweet of him to. He held my hand all the time, probably scared someone else will come and swoop me off my feet, but nope, I only want Jasper. We walk into the cafeteria together along with the rest of 'our' family? I'm his mate, so as Alice and Rosalie put it on Wednesday, I'm already apart of the family.

We sat at our usual table and talked and laughed about everything. Mainly me and Emmett did. Edward and Bella sat with each other all this week. I thought it was great Bella had Edward, because he's like a brother to me already. Me and Jasper got up and got in line to get food, so he can act 'normal'. I grabbed me a burger, as did Jasper and he grabbed some carrots too. I laughed at him when we got back to the table. "What?" He asked me grinning. "I hope those are yours because the carrots here suck." I laughed at them. And I wasn't lying either, the veggies here did suck, they weren't any good.

He chuckled. "Yes Meagan, because I would really eat carrots." He said, starting to play around. I giggled. "You told me you guys were vegetarians." I reminded him and he laughed. I smiled. Yes, the clan knows I know their secret. It was nice to be in the loop. I ate my lunch and we just sat and talked until the bell rung for 7th period. The 4th class of the day where I don't have Jasper in it. But it's okay, at least I have Alice and Emmett in it. We go to 7th period which is Health, and we watch a video on the cardiovascular system. Then the bell rings to go to 8th period. That's Spanish. I hate it. I walk in and speak some Spanish, and the bell rings to go home. I was glad.

I walk out of class and someone's arm goes around my shoulder. I look up and see Jasper on my left, holding my hand, and Emmett on my right, his arm around my shoulders. Alice on Jaspers left, and Rosalie on Emmett's right. "Hey guys." I say. "Hey!" They say. We walk out of the building and to our cars. Jasper walks me to my car. I lean on my car as he stands really close to me, and looks around. "Jasper?" I ask him. "What is it?" I ask him again, he doesn't answer.

He looks back at me and looks straight in my eyes. "You go straight home, okay? Please, please please, go straight home." He begs me. I start to panick. "Jas. What's wrong?!" I ask him. He cradled my face with his hands. "I smell wolves, and wolves don't really come around here. So please, I'm begging you, go straight home, and I'll be there as soon as I can." He pleads. I bite my lip and nod. "What if you get hurt?" I whisper to him. He chuckles. "I'm more worried about your safety and your worried about me?" He asks me incredulously. I nod. "I used to think I was indestructable, now I'm not so sure." He says, a light smirk playing on his lips.

I smiled slightly. I look down and I can feel his cool face near mine. I look up and we kissed. We pulled away, me kinda relaxing because of Jasper, but Jasper is still worrying. I lay my head on his collarbone. "Just......be careful alright? I'd probably die if anything happened to you." I whisper. He nods and pecks my lips and opens my door for me. "See you later, I promise." He says and I shut my door as he walks over to the Jeep. I pull out and drive home.

I drive down the deserted road, thinking about what Jasper said. I wasn't really paying attention to the road. When I shook my head and focused, a huge black wolf was standing in the middle of the road, obvious to know I was there. Werewolf. It couldn't have been Jacob, because he hadn't shifted yet. My windows were rolled down and I started to panick. I tried to dodge the wolf, but it wouldn't move. I swerved all too late. I hit the ditch and my car started rolling. I screamed at the top of my lungs. I kept hittin my head on the side of the door or on the steering wheel.

Then, my car stopped on the roof. I could feel myself bleeding. I started to get dizzy. I looked over to my left and saw the black wolf whimpering. My eyes began to shut and I completely blacked out.
