Chapter 6

I heard a beeping noise, and I smelt the sharp smell of bleach and chemicals. I'm in the hospital. I groan and open my eyes, but quickly shut them again because the light was too bright. "Can you turn the lights down Carlisle?" I heard that familiar voice I loved. Jasper. I felt the lights go dim and I opened my eyes again. I look around and saw the whole Cullen Family and my dad standing in the room. I sat up, but whimpered. "Hello Meagan. How are you feeling?" Carlisle asks me. I sigh. "Not really bad, but not really good. About a 6 on the scale of pain." I mutter, knowing he can hear me. He nodded and wrote it down.

He looked at dad and dad nodded and all of them but Carlisle, Jasper and Esme got out. "Carlisle, I saw one. It was a wolf. A black one. He made feel like it was someone I knew. When my car was rolling down the hill, he ran down and started to whine, like he didn't mean it. I don't know. Maybe I'm being crazy." I ramble but Jasper sends a wave of calmness over me. I send him a thanks look. He nodded. "It was Sam Uley." Carlisle announces. "I would suggest you go over there today and ask him." Carlisle recommends. Jasper got pissed off. He got up. "Carlisle. You see the way she looks! It's because of them! I smelt wolf earlier today, and it could've been him!!" Jasper says with as much control of his voice as he can muster up.

Carlisle was completely calm about it. "Maybe he was curious as to why they're back, or why they are with us. She must confront him about it, because she's the only human who knows!" Carlisle tells him. He growled and quickly walked out. I sighed. "Thank you Carlisle. And yes I'll go as soon as you let me go." I tell him with sincerity. He smiled at me. "You are a perfect mate for Jasper. You two balance each other out. Welcome to the family Meagan." He tells me. I smiled. "Thank you. Thank you Esme." I say softly. She smiled at me. "No problem dear. Call us if you need help. All of our numbers are in your phone. Jasper did that. Once your on their territory, Alice won't be able to see your future, so if anything happens, call us and get out of there okay?" She asks me. I nod.

Carlisle checks me out to go and I tell dad I'm going to hang out with Jacob for a bit, there was no sign of Jasper. He shouldn't be mad though, maybe Sam didn't mean to do it. Or maybe he didn't know who it was. I sighed as I got in Jasper's car and drove to Emily and Sam's house. I drove all the way down there with Jasper's car, and maybe they'll think I'm a vampire. It's worth a shot. I pull up on the dirt driveway and get out. I heard thundering footsteps come running out. I saw Paul, Jared, Collin, Brady, and last but not least a upset Sam. I instantly got pissed. "What the fuck Sam?!?! Trying to fuckin kill me, is that it?!!" I yell at him. He looked at me as if I were crazy.

"What are you talking about?" He asks me. I laugh. "Quit playing dumb! Your a fucking wolf! Why did you make me wreck?!?" I ask again. All the boys were shell shocked. His face was set. "How do you know that?!" He asks me. I laugh. "My mate is a vampire!! How do you think?!!" I keep yelling at him. "I'm sorry! You smelt like a vampire, so I thought you were one!! I didn't recognize the car! I didn't even know you were back in town!" He told me. My face went soft. "Jake's been around the school hasn't he?" I ask them lowly. The nod. "Yeah." Paul said gruffly. I narrowed my eyes at him as he just stared at me lustingly. "What do you want Paul?" I ask him. He shakes his head. "I don't want anything." He said. I give him a 'really now' look.

"Sorry Sam. I thought you were trying to kill me." I apologize. I turn to leave, until I smelt Emily's cooking. Muffins. "Nevermind. I smell Emily's cooking!!" I announce and they just stare at me as if I'm crazy, again. "What?" I ask them. "Your not human anymore. Your one of us." Sam whispered. I laugh. "Yeah right." I say. "No seriously. You had gotten tanner than before you came down here, your eyes are a different color now. It's like you hit a growth spurt like we do. You feel warmer now." Paul said as he got closer to me. He then did the unthinkable. He slapped me. I was super mega pissed. "Paul!!" Sam yelled, but all my hearing was gone as I turned really warm. I growled.

I started to feel myself getting hotter and hotter. I then heard 'POP POP POP!' I screamed as loud as I could. "Sam! She's shifting!!!" I heard Jared yell. I felt someone pick me up and they were running. "You don't think I know that Jared!!!" Sam yelled back. A bunch more pops rang out, as I kept grunting. "Make it stop Sam!!" I yell at him. "I'm sorry I can't!! Your shifting!" He tell me. This means I won't be able to be with Jasper. Wolves and Vampires are natural enemies. More bones broke. Then, I was on all fours. I looked down and looked at my dirty blonde and blonde feet.

"Wow! She's so pretty!" Jared exclaimed. I snorted. 'How do I shift back!!!' I say, and start panicking. "Go behind a tree, and imagine turned back to human." Sam ordered. I trotted behind the tree and imagined myself shifting back. I felt myself feel cooler ad I looked down and squealed. "I need clothes!" I yell out from behind the tree. They laughed and a pair of small joggers and garments and a sports bra were tossed to me. I put them on and walked out from behind the tree. I heard several growls. "Keep it in your pants." I growl and start walking off. How will I tell Jasper?! He's gonna hate me now!! 'No he isn't. He loves us!' A ghostly feminine voice said from the back of my mind. I jumped. "Who said that?!" I asked out loud. 'I did! I'm Cynder! Your innerwolf!' She squealed. I nodded.

"How do you know?" I ask her. I start to feel her moving around inside my head. 'We have a gift! Copycatting!' She said. I nodded and walked to the house. "Hey Emily! Your favorite person in the whole wide world is here!!" I yelled at her. She turned around and smiled. "I knew you'd be home sometime!!" She squealed and ran to me. We hugged FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER!!! - Frozen is BAE!!!!
