We get back to Mary's house and Dean is...well pissed I guess you could say. He gets out a map and slams it down on the table.
"Why don't you say we just slow down and talk this thing through." Samuel says.
"There's nothing to talk about." Dean says.
"You're saying this thing is a demon and none of us have ever heard of a demon with yellow eyes."
"Yeah, well we have. This thing killed both of our families." I say.
"Just calm down."
"You don't get it do you? I mean, you're in danger, we're all in danger, in fact you need to get yourself some place safe." Dean says.
"Not until we know what we're dealing with here."
"Sam is right Dean, it could be a demon, it could be a shapeshifter, any number of things." Deanna says walking over from the kitchen.
"We know what this thing is. And I'm gonna kill it, that's all the talking I need to do." Dean says as Deanna walks back into the kitchen.
"You're gonna kill a demon? How?" Samuel asks. Has he never heard of the Colt?
"There's a hunter named Daniel Elkins, he lives in Colorado, he has Colt's gun." I say.
"The Colt." Dean says.
"Yeah, I heard about the Colt. Used to tell it to Mary as a bedtime story."
"Well it's real." I say. Samuel looks over at Deanna who's leaning against the door frame, then he looks back at us.
"Okay, say it is real, you got some kind of a crystal ball telling you where this demon is gonna be?"
"Yeah maybe I do." Dean says as he walks over to get out his dad's journal.
"What is this?" Samuel asks as we over to where we're standing.
"It's a list." I say.
"Of what?"
"My dad wrote down anyone he thought came in contact with the yellow eyed demon: who, where and when." Dean says.
"Why?"
"Because the more he learned about the son of a bitch the more he could figure out why it killed my mom," Dean flips a page in the book, "Look, Whitshire farm, told you that name sounded familiar."
"Whitshire farm, that was two days ago, how the hell is that on your dad's list?"
"My dad could see the future. Look at this, it says this thing is gonna hit here tomorrow night."
"Liddy Walsh."
"Mansyville, that's close."
"Ya, it's about 3 miles."
"I know you guys think we're crazy." I say.
"You seem like really nice kids Ashlee, but ya you're crazy."
"Ya, maybe, but I know where this bastard's gonna be and we're gonna stop it. Once an for all." Dean says. Dean grabs the journal and puts it back in his jacket then puts his jacket on. We walk into the living room where Mary is going through records.
"We're shoving off, we just wanted to say bye." Dean says.
"Really? So soon?" Mary asks as she stands up.
"Yeah, we have a job to do." I say.
"Hey, I wanted to tell you, for what it's worth, doesn't matter what your dad thinks, I like that John kid." Dean says.
"You do?" Mary says with a little laugh.
"Yeah, I think you two are meant to be." I add in.
"Hell I'm depending on it." Dean says.
"What?" Mary asks confused.
"Nothing." I say.
"Can I ask you question?" Dean asks. That was a question but okaay then, "What's he like? John?"
"Why do you ask?"
"Just curious."
"Pfft, I don't know, umm, he's sweet, kind, even after the war, after everything, he still believes in happily ever after, you know? He's everything a hunter isn't. No offence."
"None taken."
"Can I tell you something?" She asks, "He's gonna ask me to marry him, tomorrow I think."
"Ya?"
"Dad's gonna explode, but I don't care, I'll run away if I have to, I just, I love John and.."
"And what?" I ask. As a fellow girl, I'm interested in this kin of thing.
"I wanna get out, this job, this life. I hate it. I want a family. I wanna be safe. You know the worst thing I can think of, the very worst thing is for my children to be raised into this like I was. Well, I won't let it happen."
"Ya." Dean says quieter, he puts a fist up to his mouth almost like he's about to cry. I just bring my hand up and start rubbing his back. I mean really, imagine finding out that you were raised the EXACT way that your mom didn't want you to be raised.
"Hey, you okay?" She asks Dean.
"Ya, no I'm fine. Hey, um Mary, can I tell you something?"
"Sure."
"Even if this sounds really weird, will you promise me that you'll remember?"
"Okay." She says confused. Don't worry I'm just as confused as you are.
"On November 2nd 1983, don't get out of bed. No matter what you hear or what you see, promise me you won't get out of bed." I see a tear slip down his face.
"Okay." She says more seriously now.
"Bye Mary." I say. We walk out of the house and to the car.
"Dean, come here," I say to him. He does as I say and I just wrap my arms around him. Sometimes that's all he needs, just someone to hold him. "It's okay." He pulls away and just looks at me.
"I'm glad I have you, I'm glad you forgave me." He says with a little laugh at the end. He then gets in the car and starts it up as I walk around and get in the passenger side. Looks like we're on our way to try to save Liddy Walsh.
