Scott

"Scott, just slow down. Melissa said that he's okay" Lydia tried, close behind me as I stormed into the hospital. I knew she was right, my mother hadn't been lying. But something was off, I could feel it deep in my bones.

"I know but Lydia, tell me you don't feel it" I stopped, turning around to face her and the Sheriff. She bit her lip, exhaling heavily through her nose. Her shoulders slumped, her eyes suddenly looking so tired now that she didn't have to hide her fear. "Something, something is off. It's like-like I can smell it" I breathed, shaking my head.

"Hey! We're here!" Isaac called, Allison and him jogging into the hospital. They paused as they reached us, Allison breathing heavily. My heart still ached from that fact that we weren't together, and Isaac and her only seemed to be growing closer.

"So what's going on? Where's Stiles?" Allison asked, tucking her now shorter brown hair behind her ear. I sighed, licking my lips as I collected my thoughts.

"Stiles is getting an M.R.I. They think he could have Frontotemporal dementia, like his mom" I admitted, my heart seizing with worry. I couldn't even bring my eyes to meet Sheriff's face because I knew what I would see: heartbreak, despair, utter hopelessness. Stiles had been through so much, so much pain for one life time. This couldn't happen to him. It just couldn't.

"That's awful" Allison breathed, her eyes looking misty. "Is that what your mom said? When she called?" Allison asked, wanting to know all the facts. I shrugged, Lydia rolling her eyes.

"She said that she had some help finding Stiles. She wouldn't tell him who though. She said it was a surprise" Lydia spoke, shooting me a glare. I already knew who it was, my dad. I don't know why she was making such a big deal out of it. He had been here for a month or two already.

"We think it's Agent McCall. He found my son. We're going up to wait for him while they do the M.R.I" Sheriff explained, my head nodding in agreement. Isaac nodded, looking sadly to Allison. I stared at my feet, Lydia squeezing my hand. We were lost and confused and had no idea what to do now. I wanted nothing more than my best friend back because she always knew what to do. I was no True Alpha. She was. She had helped me through everything, told me which direction to go in. And now, when we needed her, she had been ripped away from us.

"Alright, let's go then. I haven't seen Sam and Dean in ages anyway" Lydia smiled, offering the one positive aspect. Sam and Dean had come back to help with Stiles and I was so grateful. After everything that happened with them saving the world and all, it would be amazing to see them alive and well again. They were pack after all.

"Yeah, I wonder how long Sam's hair is now" I joked, trying not to let the sadness drown me. Lydia linked her arm with mine, giving a sympathetic look as it seemed she could see right through my act. I shrugged off her stare, walking forward. We walked together, chatting softly about school and how excited we were to see Sam and Dean. We got into the elevator, watching as the floor increased. I inhaled, getting that same familiar scent. It made my chest ache, my head spin and made me almost want to smile.

"They should be right down this hallway" Sheriff said as the elevator jerked to a stop. I nodded, watching as the doors squealed, opening up to the hallway. I spotted them immediately, more specifically Sam's tall frame and Dean's dirty blonde hair. My mother stood next to them, the three of them talking to someone.

The five of us stepped out of the elevator, walking forward. I shot Lydia a confused look, wondering who they were talking to. Most likely it was a doctor, but then again something told me it wasn't. The scent grew stronger, my heart beat picking up. I froze, sticking out my arms to stop my pack who followed behind me. "Mom, who is that?"my voice trembled, everyone turning around. I didn't get a smile from Sam and Dean, just wide eyes and open mouths.
