Heal You (Part II)

"What the hell?" I whispered, shaking my head. "No, Cas, this is Stiles we're talking about. He's not the nogitsune or whatever. He's Stiles" I stressed, my head spinning as worry began to fill me. 

Cas sighed, staring at me with frustrated eyes. "Don't you see? What do you think has been causing his nightmares? What do you think lead him into the woods last night?" Cas asked, my head shaking as I refused to accept this. 

"Stiles is the sweetest, happiest, kindest person I know. How could something like this happen to him, Cas? Huh? How could this happen?" I asked, my heart beginning to race as it began to come together. 

"He wasn't that way after you died, Emma. He was dark, sad, closed off. His friends barely recognized him. He was difficult to be around, always sulking and wishing for you back. They stuck around, of course, because they knew eventually he'd get better. But see, this grief and his sacrifice made his mind weak and his heart dark, allowing the nogitsune to enter" Cas told me, goosebumps rising on my arms. 

"I need to see him" I whispered, biting my lip as I ran my hand through my hair which was still covered with dirt. "I need to see him, Cas" I trembled, tears stinging my eyes.

"I would strongly agree. But I fear that the nogitsune may have recently taken control" Cas spoke quietly, glancing around him as if we were being watched. I swallowed, a cold sweat appearing on my face. 

The lights shut off, a gasp escaping me. Nervous screams and yelps erupted through the hospital, the sounds echoing off the walls. "What's happening?" I breathed, looking around at the emergency lights that flickered on and off, screams getting louder. 

"Someone cut the power line on the roof. Dean, Sam, Scott and Derek were investigating it. It's exploded" Cas looked up, closing his eyes as he took it all in. "It was the nogitsune. I must help. Find Stiles and control him" Cas shot me a forceful look. 

"I don't know how to do that! How am I supposed to do that?" I asked, tears stinging my eyes as panic began to pulse through me. 

"I'll tell you when you need to know. Good luck" he nodded, my heart leaping up my throat. 

"Cas, wait-" with the sound of flapping wings, he was gone. "Shit!" I swore, stomping my foot. The lights continued to flicker, the orders coming back to me. I turned around, charging down the hallway, my boots slapping the tiled floor. 

I rounded the corner, reeling to a stop. Everyone was gone. I knew the four boys were on the roof, and Melissa must have gone back to work along with Sheriff. Allison, Lydia and Isaac must've taken off too. "Stiles" I muttered, shivers running down my spine as Cas' warning came back. 

"Hello? Nurse!" I called, jogging towards a woman down the hall. She turned towards me with wide eyes, her hands trembling. "I need help finding a patient's room. Stiles Stilinski" 

"M'am, this is an emergency. There's a loose wire outside!" she shouted back, panic evident in her tone. I groaned, fists clenching at my sides. 

"I know! But this is a bigger emergency, trust me. Where is Stiles Stilinski's room?!" I shouted, my whole body shaking. She stared at me with wide eyes, grabbing the clipboard off the wall. She quickly flipped through it and I couldn't help but feel guilty as I watched her hands tremble. 

"Room 213" she muttered before returning the clipboard to its selfand running away. I shook it off, running forward. I ran down the hallway, my heart pounding furiously against my ribs. I watched the room numbers grow, the wind being knocked out of my chest as I reached his room. 

"Stiles!" I burst into his room, panting furiously as I stared at the empty room. "No, no, no" I trembled, moving to his bed where a crumpled hospital gown lay. "Oh no" I bit my lip, lifting it into my hands. It was still warm, and it reeked of Stiles' scent.
