Chapter 5 (Girls talk)

“So he said he got her number?” El said taking a sip of her tea as she sat indian style on the couch looking at Mari.

“Yeah. He said because he promised her the three of us will go get some lunch together to chat sometime when we are back in NY.” Mari said taking her cup of tea from the side table.

“I told her I don’t have a good feeling about this girl.” Jade said taking a bite of her lemon cookie.

“I actually asked Louis about her. You’re not mad at me are you?” El asked putting her tea down.

“Of course not.” Mari said smiling.

“Unless you don’t tell us what he said.” Jade said  jokingly.

“Jade!” Mari said laughing.

“Of course I was going to say what he said.” El said giggling and throwing a pillow at Jade then continued.

“He actually said what Harry told you about her and he told me that she would text and call him a lot the first year of 1D, while they were on X-factor. He also said it wasn’t really his place to say anything but he does remember one time the boys talked about how they thought she just wanted to hang out with him for you know…” El said not finishing her sentence.

“Fame? Money?” Jade asked.

And El shook her head.

“I knew it!” Jade said. “She looks like it.”

“Well we’ll never know for sure unless we give her a shot.” Mari said smiling nervously.

“We don’t need to give her anything, to be quite honest.” Jade said taking a sip of her tea.

“Well we can’t be rude if she’s Harry’s friend we can be friends too.” Mari said.

El just gave her a slight reassuring smile.

“Ok changing subjects how has it been having alone time with the boys?” Jade said readjusting herself on the couch. 

“I’ve missed him so much. It’s been nice waking up next to him” Eleanor said smiling wide.

“I love it. Sometimes I just look at him and can’t believe he’s really lying next to me.” Jade said.

“What do you mean sometimes? Wasn’t last night the first time you slept with him together?” Mari asked confused.

El’s eyes got big.

“Um no? In NY when you slept over in Lou’s hotel room I slept with Niall.” Jade said looking down at her feet.

“What? Really? But you never told me?” Mari said a bit upset.

“I just didn’t want to make you think badly about me.” Jade said sounding a bit down.

“Why would I think that silly? You love him.” Mari said moving up to sit by Jade.

“I just thought since we talked about trying to keep our virginity till maybe even marriage. I thought you would be disappointed in me.” Jade said.

“Our virginity? You mean you’re not a virgin anymore, Jade!” Mari’s mouth hung open and Eleanor shifted awkwardly in her  seat.

“No? Wait, haven’t you and Harry….Um you know? I figured since you guys spent all that time alone in NY and last night?” Jade said confused.

“No.” Mari said looking embarrassed.

“Oh. I just thought you didn't want to tell me you had.” Jade said looking nervously at Mari.

“Yeah no. Look I doubt I’m going to wait till marriage. At least not unless I feel I’m ready till then, I want to but I’m scared.” Mari said. Then added. “I would never think bad about you for finally finding someone you love so much you decided to share everything with. You know?” Mari said smiling at Jade.

“You don’t have to be scared” Eleanor said. “Look when it happens it will happen.” And smiled.

“I wasn’t planning for it to happen but it just sorta did.” Jade said.

“Same here.” Eleanor added with a smile.

“Am I loser for not having done it yet?” Mari asked the girls.

“No! Of course not. Look you wait till you are ready.” Jade said

“I know. It’s just sometimes I feel he might not want to, you know, do it with me.” Mari said.

“Are you serious? Louis told me all he could talk about when we left NY was you. He’s in love with you. Maybe you think he’s not interested in that way because he doesn’t want to pressure you to do it.” Eleanor said.

“I saw him naked last night.” Mari said then blushed.

Jade and Eleanor squeaked/screamed.

“WHAT!” Jade said.

“I walked in on him on accident.” Mari said still blushing.

“What did he do?” El said giggling.

“ He put his boxers on and later he told me If I wanted to see him naked again since I wouldn’t be surprised this time.” Mari said.

“and you’re scared that he doesn’t want you that way? Really best friend?” Jade said playfully pushing Mari.

“ I want him so bad too. I’m so confused.” Mari said.

“Just go for it next time see how far you can go with him and then you’ll know your boundaries and now if you’re ready or not.” El said and the door swung open.

“Ready or not for what?” Louis said pulling luggage behind him.

The girls looked at one another and started laughing making the boys look at one another with confusion.

Mari looked over at Harry and thought you know trying wouldn’t hurt as Harry caught her gaze and winked at her giving her butterflies.
