Chapter 18 "WTF"

Lou was picking up her station in the room they had given her to fix the boys up for the days interview when Jade passed by looking down at her phone.

“Psht, Jade.” Lou called in a loud whisper making Jade look up with surprise. Lou motioned her over and before saying anything she looked around making sure no one was around.

“We need to talk.”

“I know, it’s all over the news. I feel bad for her.” Jade said.

“Yeah, well if you only knew what she has been going through and now this, you should feel horrible for being the friend you have been lately. 5 months of no speaking really?” Lou said, not caring at all what she would respond.

Jade starred at her in a “did you just say that to me” way.

“Just come on, I need to tell you something she didn’t want me to tell you.”

“What is it?” Jade said now sounding worried.

“Not here.” Lou said grabbing her bag of supplies & Jade by the arm as she moved towards the exit.

 “So what the heck was that?” Liam said breaking the awkward silence after the cameras had been turned off and the interview had officially ended.

“Well that my friend, was us getting interviewed .” Lou said

“You know what I mean. I wasn’t ready to have this interview turn into getting all the details as possible from Harry’s night out. Seriously, these people are horrible.” Liam said.

“Harry?” Zayn said and all the boys turned to look over at Harry who didn’t have that usual sparkle in his eyes.

“Thank you guys. I’m sorry.” Harry said standing up and running his hands through his hair.

“Are you ready to tell us what happened? I mean they have you kissing her in a picture.” Niall said.

“I know, I know.” Harry said sitting back down.

“We went out last night, we had some drinks, and she just showed up. Just like on Mari’s birthday she knew where I was at. We were just having some drinks, all of us together. ” Harry said.

“Yeah, she asked you if you could walk her to her hotel after some time had passed. I remember.” Zayn said.

“I said I would get her a cab, but she said it wasn’t that far. We were walking, I was a little clumsy and when we finally got to her hotel, she started talking about old times again. It felt like she was stalling, until out of the blue she pulled on my jacket in the middle of her sentence and kissed me and I saw the flash after that and then more. I gently pushed her away and she ran into her Hotel saying see you later as if it had been no big deal.” Harry said.

“Do you think she called the paps?” Niall said

“Most likely. There has always been something off about that one.” Lou said.

“I mean I guess? I don’t even know. I’m just stuck thinking about Mari. She doesn’t answer my calls or texts and Lou keeps giving me the stink eye, I even got it from Jade.” Harry said.

“Sorry.” Niall said with a side smile.

“Damn dude, I’m sorry.” Zayn said standing up to put his hand on Harry’s shoulder as he put his head in his hands.
