Hi Grandad
This morning I was sitting with Mum in my room. Things had cooled since yesterday's blow out. It was about 10:30, and I was going to ask Mum about Andrew again.
"Mum..."
"Good morning Rosie, Tracey." said a nurse as she walked in.
Dang it. I thought.
The nurse continued.
"You have a few visitors."
In walked Dad. I hadn't seen him in so long, since he's been picking up as much work as possible to try and keep up with the constant hospital bills.
"DAD!"
"ROSIE!"
Dad ran as fast as his old legs could take him and gave me a giant bear hug.
Then, a doctor walked in the room.
"Hello, my name is Dr. Hansen." he said as he shook my parents and my hand. He gestured for Dad to sit down and he sat beside him.
"So, we have a new surgery opportunity for you Rosie. It's a trial, meaning it hasn't been done before. We think you're a good patient to try this on. But, there's a twist to this as well. This means there's a higher risk in this surgery compared to a regular surgery. Since this is basically the only option you have, I thought I might suggest it to you."
"Yeah whatever lets do it." I replied.
"But Rosie, this is serious. This is something we need to discuss as a family and put some thought into." says Mum with her regular fricken annoying wise words.
"It's simple! I either do the surgery and possibly die quickly or get through and recover, or we don't do it and I'll die slowly. I'm not happy with dying slowly, I'll die quickly if that's what happens."
"Rosie. Don't say another word." Dad bit back at me.
"Well, I'll leave you to it." said Dr. Hansen. He walks out the room.
"You know, you have a point there Rosie." said Dad.
"What? Dying quickly is better than slowly?"
"Well, sort of. I think doing the operation will do good for you Rosie. And as long as you're Mum is fine with it and you're fine with it, we can go along with it."
"Whatever is best for you Rosie." said Mum. "The final decision is on you."
Dr. Hansen promised to return later on in the day to talk with us about our decision. We discussed with him about our decision of going ahead with the operation.
"Ok, but remember the high risk of it going downhill."
Mum sighed and nodded. She grabbed Dad's hand. All I could think was this isn't the time to be romantic.
"We have a time slot for the operating theatre open at 6:00 tonight. Have a good rest of the day!"
He walked out.
How could I have a good rest of the day if I know I might die tonight. Geez.
The rest of the day was pretty miserable. I called Andrew because I wanted to spend time with him before I 'possibly die.' As I was on the phone with him, he appeared out of nowhere at the doorway. I nearly had a heart attack, but I couldn't complain. It was Andrew after all.
He ran into the room, picked me up out of my bed and cradled me in his arms. This came as such a surprise to me, especially when my Mum hasn't agreed with me having a boyfriend yet. When I looked up at him, he had tears in his eyes.
"What's wrong Andrew?"
"I... I don't want you to go."
I sat and thought about this and this is where I knew I truly loved him. I stared up at him into his big brown eyes and couldn't resist a big kiss on the lips when he leant down to me. When we pulled away, he still had tears in his eyes, but he had the widest smile I'd ever seen, which made me smile too.
We sat like this for god knows how long, just talking and sitting and smiling. When it was time for him to go, the mood dropped again.
"Good luck my baby." he whispered to me. "See you on the other side."
He winked as he said this and made me smile again. He started to walk out. I yelled after him, "Andrew! Wait!"
"What is it Rosie?"
"I love you Andrew."
"I love you too."
He smiled and walked out, with a style that only Andrew has.
It was getting quite close to the time of my operation. Throughout the day, I had seen lots and lots of friends, who all supported me and was confident I would make it out of the operation.
Dr. Hansen walked in.
"Are you ready Rosie?" he asked me as he rolled in a portable bed.
"It's either now or never." I replied with a smile.
As I got lifted into the portable bed, Mum and Dad held my hands, gave me hugs and kisses and I was sent off into the operating theatre. I got wheeled in and was given a mask with strawberry scented laughing gas. Soon enough, I felt really drowsy and fell asleep.
The next thing I remember, I thought, Dang, I feel so damn tired. No words can explain how fricken tired I feel.

DRAMA! Well, at least there's a bit more excitement there! I also decided to keep you on edge at the end of this chapter so I give you the right to kill me. I'll update as soon as I can, maybe tomorrow or the next day.
