Hi Grandad,

I'm out of the wheelchair and I'm walking by myself! I'm so excited. The other thing is, today, I get one last quick scan and I might be able to go home! I haven't been home for a month now and I miss it so much. I feel I can have an ordinary life after this. I'm so excited.

Before lunch, Dr. Hansen walked in.
"Rosie! You're looking very well today! Are you ready for your blood tests and scans to see if you can go home?"
"You bet Dr. Hansen. You bet."
"Great! Let's go."

I got up and followed Dr. Hansen to a special room to do the scans. Then we came back and did the other tests in my room.
"You should get the results back after lunch." he said, "I'm certain you'll be able to go home. How are you feeling?"
"I'm feeling great and ready to go home!" I replied. And I really, truly was.

After lunch came quite quickly and soon enough Dr. Hansen walked in, hopefully, for the last time. The smile was pretty convincing.
"Ah Rosie. You're free to go home!"
"Oh my gosh really? You're not kidding Dr. Hansen?"
"Of course not Rosie. It's been a pleasure meeting you and being on your journey with you."
"Thank you so much for everything."
Without hesitation I ran up to him and gave him a big hug that he returned.
"My pleasure." he replied.

I went back to the chair I was sitting in and sat down.
"Now here's my last few bits of advice. Take it easy, and stay out of doing sport and PE for at least two weeks. I have a prescription here for some medication that you still need to take for two weeks also. After those two weeks I can pretty much say you can go back to normal. Is that all clear?"
"Yes!" I cried.
"Great! Thank you Rosie. You've been such a great patient to be with."
Dr. Hansen went around shaking everyone's hand.
"Good luck Rosie!"
"Thanks Dr. Hansen!"

And with that, Dr. Hansen left.

I gathered all my things and was ready to go when Mum stopped me.
"Hold on sweetie." she said with a smile as she pulled out her makeup bag.
Mum was going to do my makeup again! Yay! I love it when Mum does my makeup.
"Oh god." said Dad with a groan.
Mum and I just laughed.

Mum sat me down and put on my foundation, concealer and used some powder to do some 'Mum magic.' She defined my eyebrows and applied mascara and a nude lipstick. She then got my hair and did a messy ponytail and, like always, grabbed a piece of hair and wrapped it around the hair tie.
"Now we're ready." she declared.

I said goodbye to my room that I call my 'temporary home.' I grabbed my things and walked out with my parents. We got in the car and drove home. When I got home, I realised how luxurious home is. We have a fairly new double storey house and of course my room is upstairs! When Dad unlocked the house, instead of walking in like my parents did, I ran in with a grin on my face.

My gorgeous dogs were here to greet me. I have a golden Labrador retriever called Bessie and a chocolate Labrador retriever called Coco. Bessie is 11 and is the wisest dog you will ever meet. We take pride in training our dogs and because Coco is still only 2, she's learning but still quite crazy!

I went upstairs to my bedroom and just flopped on my bed. Then, I saw a letter on my bed. I opened it up and screamed and burst into tears.

CLIFFHANGER!!! I'm sorry I had to. Also, sad thing is, next chapter will be the last chapter of the book! I'm thinking of doing a sequel just because I don't think you guys know much about Rosie apart from the fact that she's Year 7 at Mountain Range College and you've probably forgotten that since I only wrote that in Chapter 1. Also, yes I know that you don't usually get blood test results back until like a week away but I wanted to be generous to Rosie she's having a hard time!
Don't forget to vote, comment and share! I want to know who's reading my book!
