As soon as I got home I ran inside and plopped on my couch. How could this happen? I never thought I 'd see him again, but he came back, with a fancy ass note! Just to give me his number. Thats soo adorable. I grabbed my cell phone and typed in his number. After the 3rd ring he picked up. "Hello? Is this Alexander?" A voice as thick as velvet replied "yes this is him. So you got my note? Thanks for calling Emily." I giggled under my breath "no problem Alexander, so do you mind me asking why you wanted to call?" I could practically hear the smile form on his angelic face "I wanted to set up a date with you, if thats ok?" "Thats 100% okay with me!"
I had to stop myself from getting too excited "okay thats cool, I can take you to my house and make dinner and my mom will eat with us. You dont mind do you?" Although I was a bit disappointed I didn't show it. "No I suppose it would be nice to meet her. Will she cook or you?"
He laughed quietly "me of course. But, can you keep our date secret Em?" My brow furrowed in confusion "well sure, but my friend Susan already knows a little bit about you." "Oh. Is that the girl that works as a Barista also? The one I gave the note too?" "Yes." "Oh, well I guess she's okay. Anyways, Ill pick you up tomorrow at eight pm" "okay bye Alexander." "Goodbye Emily."
-1:32am-
Knock knock! Rolling over onto my side I started to yell leave me alone when I saw the clock and how early- or would I say late?- it was. I got up and slipped some sweatpants on along with a Sweatshirt "I'm coming!" I yelled.
Rubbing my eyes and shuffling slowly over to the front door I opened it. No one was there. But, I knew I had heard someone knocking. So I stepped out onto the porch looking to see if they were walking away. My foot hit something and it skidded onto the first step.
I went to pick it up, and it was a red and white present box about a foot tall, there was a note on top of it. It read in Susan's sloppy handwriting 'I sent my friend to drop this off at your house. I heard you have a date!!!' Although I thought it was weird she knew I had a date at the time, I ignored it, she was my best friend after all.
Closing the door and walking into the living room I sat the box on the table. Although it said it was from Susan, I had an eerie feeling about it. I sat down and stared at it. Why did she give it to a stranger? Why couldn't she hand deliver it? Actually, why couldn't she bring it to me like an hour before he picked me up for our date? I didn't know so I just stopped questioning it.
I grabbed the ribbon and pulled it, opening the box I moved around some red crinkly paper. I saw a skin tight sleeveless white dress, red stilettos, and a necklace with a Ruby that looked like a single tear drop. It was long enough that it hung between my cleavage. It was beautiful, I left the box on the table and went to bed. Tomorrow would be perfect.
-7:58pm-Tonight was the big night. I had dressed up in the outfit Susan had sent, put on bright red lipstick, with mascara, I had a sloppy bun (but it looked good with the outfit), and completed it with the classic cat eye eyeliner look.
I had just walked outside when I saw a black mustang with two white stripes going down the middle pull up. Out stepped Alexander with a white suit on and a bright red tie on. "Did Susan help you pick your outfit out?" I asked questioningly. He blushed slightly "Actually yea, she kinda did. By the way you look gorgeous" it was my turn to blush "thank you."
He walked over to the passenger side and opened the door for me, I climbed in and closed the door as he walked over to the driver's side. "I promise this is a night you won't soon forget Em." He said with a Cheshire smile as he stepped harshly on the gas pedal.
