Liam's POV:
"No, I will not marry you Liam that is out of question." She said getting up and moving out of my reach. That does not ended so well. I thought, it could have been had the positive effect I wanted to have. But then again the more I know Kiara, the more I found her polar opposite of Samara. And that means she cannot easily be influenced by people.
She seems to have faced the hardships of the life alone. And she does not trust anyone easily. And also that she had loved Matthew more than her life. And she is not ready to let it go easily. She cannot be mine until she completely accepts his rejection by heart."It was you wasn't it?" She asked suddenly.
"Me? What I did now?" I asked confused. "You sabotaged mine and Matthew's relationship, you said that you will get me to marry you by hook or by crook. That I will be yours." I started to speak but she raised her arm and said "Enough of it Liam. Enough of your good man front, I so know how much cunning you really are."
I smiled at that. I have been called many thing but never cunning one. Coming from her mouth, it was not sounded as insult, it sounded as a praise. "You are in for a big surprise Mr. Rhodes. I will kill myself before I marry you and I am not kidding." I pinned her to the couch. "You. Are. Mine Kia Nothing in the world will ever keep me away from you."
She pushed me hard but I kept my firm grip on her arm. There is something between us that I never had with Samara. I never had it with her. The passion, the lust, the fire, the wildness of the situation, it was entirely different. Yet it is not love. No, but I do want her. So much. "I will kill myself." I narrowed my eyes at this.
"You will do no such thing because my son sees you as his mother and I don't want to traumatize his childhood knowing that his mother killed herself. What effect it would have over her? Tell me? Is that how you will repay Samara? By traumatizing her son's life? Could you ever live in peace ever with that?" I questioned. Her eyes watered and I realized I must have sounded harsher than I intended to.
She averted her gaze and I saw her wiping her eyes. I hurt her. I made her cry. I let those eyes fill with tears. It is my fault. I held her but she jerked me back. "D...don't t...touch me. Y...you are n...no d...different. Y...you all a...are the s...same, y...you m....my father, m...Matthew e...everyone, s...same. Stay away from me"
She placed her arms around her body covering herself. Then she walked inside the room she was staying in. The one she slept. Then minutes later she returned fully dressed. "Liam I don't want to do anything with you. You are arrogant son of Bastard. Don't you dare come near me ever"
She picked up her bag and walked out of the front door. I ran after her in my sweats and my feet naked. I saw her get into cab and leaving me and this place. I wanted to rip someone apart but then I realized it was all my fault. I might have used another approach. But it was late.
I walked inside the house and saw a horrified Michael he was crying for his mother. I picked him up. "Momma, I want Momma" He cried harder. I forgot that she was the one who used to wake him up every day. I messed up a big time. I don't have Kia's number and I pissed her off too. I tend to do that to people. How Samara managed to stay with me was a thing which is mystery to me till date.
"Mike Momma went to office early. She will be back I promise ok baby?" I tried to consol my son. Probably lying to him was not the best option but try to tell your five year old about her mother's sudden death. Yes not so easy is it? I don't have it in me to break it to him. I cannot break his little heart.
I sat down after I changed Michael and fed him. Surprisingly he didn't gave a fuss like before. Maybe he too is being effected by the gloomy atmosphere around the house. The day was chilly and it was drizzling softly. I was feeling empty. My hear mind and soul were caught in a whorlwind. I was desperate to get out it. But grief is something you can never outlive.
I pulled out my laptop and started working. Michael decided to play around. He looked good and happy. Nothing should ever steal that precious smile of his. It is such a precious thing. I don't want him ever to cry not for anything. No I have to have Kia back, for my son. If not for my selfish desire. Will she not come back even for this little thing?
I decided to talk to her parents. If anyone can help me now it is her parents. Yes, I didn't have to do anything with Matthew but now I am ready to get down and dirty to have her. She does not know me and she shouldn't have concluded about me before knowing the entire truth but she did and now I will show her how Low I can get too.
"Hey buddy want to come and meet grandma and grandpa?" He nodded eagerly. This kid really does love his grandparents. I walked to my garage and took out my car. With a new determination in my mind I drove towards my in-law's house.
Once I reached there was this equally gloomy atmosphere there. I expected to find Kiara there but she was not. Where could have she gone? My mother in law hugged me tightly. "Oh Liam, Son I am so so sorry for your loss. Samara was too precious to us. Her father is broken." And what about your other daughter? Kiara? Was she not precious to either of you? I thought you suppose to treat both your daughters equally.
"May this is about Michael. We have a problem. He thinks your other daughter Kiara is his mother." On mention of Kiara her expression turn grave. "If you came looking for her Liam I am sorry to say you will not find her here. She left our home years ago. She was the rebellious one. Wild one as you say."
Huh? They don't talk to their own daughter? "But I really cannot do it alone if she just agreed to be my wife for few years just say five, he will be old enough to understand." I tried to reason. "Liam is right Michael is too young to deal with loss of his mother. Kiara should marry him." It was my father in law Henry. "Will she agree?" I asked hesitantly. "She will do as we say. She will marry you. This is the least she could do for being our daughter and for Samara"
I was not so sure that will work. If she is that wild child then she will never agree to it. I saw my father in law calling someone. Minutes later Kiara entered looking like a true wild goddess. Her hairs were all over her face. Her cloths were sticking to her body. She was shivering and she was wet. And then the unthinkable happen. She punched me in the face.
"Kiara" Her father shouted. "apologize to Liam now, you don't go punching people in faces. And you do not certainly punch your future husband" Her mother said. "never in this life or any life I will ever have I will marry him." She said. My mother in law rushed with the ice pack. "Liam son are you alright?" I nodded in a yes.
"Enough Kiara as your father I am ordering you to marry this young man and be a mother to his child. Do not dare to defy me young lady, you know the consequences" She trembled in fear and shrunk behind me mumbling "Yes sir"
I do not understand the whole scenario. Samara never used to do this. Nor they ever been Harsh on Samara. Her father never shouted at her. Not like this. I decided to intervene. I held her arm and pulled out the ring I picked up on the way. I slid it in her left hand's ring finger. "I am not your enemy here Angel, I am only comrade you will get in this battle field." I whispered.
"Well now that she had agreed, I will expect you to behave as you would have behaved with Samara. You will shout, not threaten, not frighten my wife. And we will get married tomorrow at the court house. I know she or I would not want anything extravagant. So, I wish you won't intervene in this thing. And Kiara will stay with me from now"
She looked at me wide eyed. I don't know why she looked at me like that. But I quite don't like the expression in her eyes. Fear, I don't want her to be afraid of me. "Can I talk to my daughter before she leaves?" Her mother asked. "Go" I said to Kiara.
"I hope she will not cause you any problem." Her father said. "She is my responsibility now. Even if she does cause problems, I am sure I can handle them." I don't like the way they talk to my Kia. Minutes later she returned and her eyes were damp. She had been crying.
"you alright?" I asked. She nodded. I know she is not alright. "Come let's leave. We are getting late." I said and I picked up Michael who had mysteriously appeared to his mother's side and glaring at his grandparents. Oh I feel you Michael. No one is going to hurt your momma ever again I promise.
