Liam's POV
I placed my wife on my bed. She looked genuinely terrified. I don't know why she thinks that her dead sister is here for some reason. I don't know if she is delusional or just plainly hallucinating because of the amount of wine she had consumed.
But I know one thing that she is also suffering from the same trauma as I am. And I know I have to do everything in my power to take her out of this phase.
"Liam I know you don't believe me but I did saw her. I saw her in that restaurant. There is no way I can ever mistake to identify my own sister, she looks exactly like me." I shied pulling her into my arms.
"I know baby you must have seen someone exactly like her, it might have been a mere coincidence that she have same height and built. Let me ask you one thing did you saw her face?" I asked her holding a glass to her face. She looked terrified.
"Fleetingly" She said. "That's it baby, it was lighting and you must have mistaken her for someone else." She looked at me with disbelief. "You don't believe me, do you? You think I am lying, don't you?" I held her hand but she pulled it back. Why it is always one step forward and two steps back for me? "Baby I believe you saw someone, but I am not sure, if it is Sam" I said.
"Ok, if you like the owner of the place is my friend I will try and get the CCTV footage and look through it, just for your sake ok?" She nodded finally accepting the water.
Her birthday was almost ruined. I wanted her day to be special but alas, I failed to made it special. She looked at me with vulnerable eyes. "I am sorry baby, I wanted this day to be special." She didn't said anything. I hugged her tightly against me. I cannot ever let her go, or make her cry ever.
I needed to get her to know that I will always be with her. I made her sleep. No I didn't touched her tonight. She was too tired for that I know. I called my travel agent and book two tickets for Paris. I knew she will love it there, because it is city of love and I am hoping it can rekindle our relationship again.
"I will make sure you are happy and smile again" I said kissing her forehead. "Liam, you will not leave me right?" She muttered in her sleep. "Never in your worst nightmare baby, now for your confusion baby, I will clear it as well." I said dialing my friend's number. He sounded sleepy. "Rick did I just woke you up?" I asked.
"no, I was just about to sleep" "Good then, can I have today's CCTV camera footage? I think I have something to look at" he shied and replied with yes boss. "Can I give them to you tomorrow?" he asked. "Sure, take them to my office." I said. He cut the call and I walked into my room.
I removed my shirt and trousers, wanting nothing but t cuddle to my wife. I pulled her into my arms and she cuddled to me. I think she is drawn to me even in her dreams. "I will protect you always my baby" I said falling into deep sleep. I don't know when the night turned into dawn. It is just too soon. I found her nowhere. Then I heard a soft humming and I followed it. She was cooking and dancing. A thing I want to see in my kitchen
. A refreshing sight to see. "I love to see you feeling good like this" She stopped and looked at me. "Like what?" She asked. "Barefoot and dancing in my kitchen." I said. "It's barefoot and pregnant in my Kitchen." She corrected me. "That's not a bad idea baby." I said imagining her with big swollen stomach. It will be a amusing sight to see.
"You are not coming near me" She said. "Oh yeah? Watch me" I said and kissed her hard. She smells sweet yet there is a hint of spice. She is good, but there is somewhere that bad girl I am falling for. Kia, I think you are my true soulmate. It is bad that I have to lose Sam to realize it but I do realize it now.
