Gone
I shoved a couple pairs of jeans into my bag, along with a few t-shirts, another sweat shirt, and 3 pairs of shoes. I quietly ran to my make-up table and grabbed my brush. Working quickly, I tossed it into my bag and pulled on a pair of low cut keds.
I was leaving.
I grabbed my bag and tip toed out of my bedroom and down the hall.
I turned the corner leading to the backdoor of the castle when I heard a sickening laugh echo the empty hallway coming from the den. I stopped dead in my tracks and spun on my heels. I crept slowly back down the hallway, toward source of the blood curdling cackle.
My head peaked out from behind the grandfather clock that hid me from the gaze of whoever was out there.
I glanced around the corner of the clock to find my father sitting on the couch chatting at 11:50
I turned my head around the corner to see who he was talking with. My head slowly turned around the corner until I saw her.
Queen Octavia Tucker of the kingdom Antangia.
I gasped as my fathers gaze fell from her face and landed on mine.
"Brook..."
I turned around and ran down the hall. I grabbed my bag and stormed out the backdoor.
"This is goodbye" I said to myself. And ran off, into the darkness of the forest.
