Chapter 3

Gajeel POV

I felt a tinge of guilt as I saw Juvia water lock the Heartfilia chick. i never wanted this. I didn't want to hurt anybody and I didn't want innocent people get hurt. I know i'm a scary person, but I'm actually a really nice guy.

I cursed under my breath as I saw the two of them high five. Juvia must have heard me because she turned around and smiled sweetly at me like she just gave a kid a toy. I put on a fake smirk and jumped down from the roof I was Perched on. "Good job you two. Now all that's left is to find the skank's cousin." i said with a disgusted tone. "Go on ahead and drop this one off. The blue head is all mine."

Juvia strutted over to me and said with a flirtatious tone,"Of course Gajeel-sama. Anything for you."

-this isn't right and you know it- I reached into my pocket, ignoring the voice, and pulled out the picture of the blondes cousin. What I saw took the breath out of me. -She is gorgeous- Indeed she was. She had blue hair that was held back by an orange head band. She had eyes that were as innocent as does. As my eyes traveled down, the name "Levy McGarden" was written below the head shot. -You can't hurt her.- i heard mt inner dragon say softly. - You know what she is to us. If you hurt her, she won't forgive you and you'll be in misery.-

What am I going to do?

Levy's POV

i watched as Lucy walked out the guild doors. I still had a lot left to ask her about. We were in the middle of talking about her odd dreams she had been having lately. She said all she could remember was his spiky blonde hair, and how small she was compared to him. I had a very strong feeling it was the man that brought her here all those years ago. Well he wasn't really even a man. It looked like he was more of a boy, maybe only a couple years older then us.

I decided I would go to the library so I could get a new book since I already finished the 5 I got last week. i must have been in the library for a couple hours because now it was getting dark. My house is at least 20 minutes from here. I grunted.

i pulled out my lacrima and decided to call Jet and Droy to come help me carry the many new books I got. they were more then happy to help. They met up with me about a block from the library, and we started making out long trek to my house.

Droy put his arm around me and said smugly," Don't worry Levy! I'll always be around to protect you from all the scary things that come out in the night."

Jet pushed Droy away and yelled," No way! I'll be the one protecting Levy!"

We then heard a ferril growl come from above on one of the close roof tops. I pushed both of them away and started laughing at there scared faces. "You guys are so funny. You both can protect me!" I barely laughed out. It seemed that with that statement, whatever growled earlier, was angered at what she said.

"Ha, you weaklings have got to be kidding me" we heard a low voice call from the darkness. We heard the figure jump from the roof onto the ground still in the darkness. "I wish you the best of luck when it comes to protecting her from me." the deep voice growled out. We were finally able to make out the figure as a tall man with many peirceings going up and down his arms.

The next thing I knew, Jet and Droy were thrown back and knocked out by iron pillars. The man walked up to me slowly. I was able to usher this past my quivering lips," Please, don't kill me."

He replied softly," I never wanted to do this Levy. Please remember that." Then everything in my world went dark.
