It had been another month.
And things seemed to have gone back to normal...well as normal as things could get in Ikebukuro. Anything normal that happened in that city was an oddity.
"So what I'm saying is-"
"How dare you come here, you filthy maggot. Thinking that if you crawled up to my thrown and kissed my ring that I'd help you," laughed Izaya.
"Why you little punk!" started the scruffy man who had borrowed money from a loaner and was now looking for help.
"Yes that's what I am, isn't it? Now leave me be, I don't need that dog Shizu-chan to come sniffing you out," Izaya lolled, ending the conversation he didn't look back at the man and turned around.
A strong grip grabbed onto his shoulder, "You're so dead!"
"Hmm? What was that?" asked Izaya, a pleasant smile on his face.
The man felt a cold blade get help up to his neck, and he started to tremble, "Nothing man!! I mean it! We're cool!"
"That's what I thought, now let go," Izaya snarled, whipping the knife forward, and cutting the guy over and across the face. Damaging at least one of his eyes.
The man fell down, scream and withering in agony.
Izaya was never this cruel physically, usually he sat above the action and watched it; torturing people with other people or his mind games. But ever since the murder of his sisters, people who usually came to him for information started to avoid him. Word was getting around that he was turning as violent as Shizu-chan.
Izaya stepped over the body of the man and stuffed his hands in his pockets, they were shaking too. Not from fear, not from shock; fatigue. Izaya was hardly able to sleep or eat, not that he cared, or noticed.
His phone started ringing in his pocket, he didn't even care to pick up; just kept on walking.
"Come eat sushi!" Simon bellowed.
Izaya didn't even stop to say hello or chat; just kept on walking.
His phone rang once again.
"Leave me the hell alone!" he growled, grabbing the phone and slamming on the power button.
Celty looked at her new phone with concern as it said, "The caller you are trying to reach is out of the service zone or their phone is off."
"I'm concerned," she typed to her boyfriend (husband depending how you look at it): Shinra.
Shinra had found Celty when he was four. She had been a stowaway on the ship going to Japan. His father had made a deal with Celty that if they let them dissect her she could stay with them.
Shinra had been able to dissect Celty when he was four. But neither of them cared now. And they loved each other. Shinra usually wore a white doctors coat, with large square glasses.
"Celty, he'll be ok, nothing can kill that broker," sighed Shinra, putting his arm around her shoulder.
If Celty had a head she would've rested it on his shoulder. But all she had was a neck that had black shadow's coming out of it. Granted it could be creepy but Shinra had made the theory that because Celty could hear and see things that the black shadows collect information around the surroundings. And the shadows could also turn into her scythe that a Dulahon is supposed to carry, along with other varies objects.
"I'm worried though, sure no one else can kill him..." she didn't want to finish her sentence.
"No, he wouldn't. He wouldn't," whispered Shinra, he had known the broker since high-school, he would never do something like that.
"Even Shizuo's worried," Celty typed slowly.
Shinra was now concern, if Shizuo was worried... "Fine I'll call Shizuo to check up on him."
"You want me to do what!" snapped Shizuo in his phone, he could feel his phone cracking, "I AM NOT CHECKING UP ON THE FLEA!!!!!!!"
"Shizuo, Celty says if you don't she'll cut off your head," Shinra threatened for Celty.
"NO!" he shouted, "Now I'm just p!ssed-" he grabbed a vending machine and threw it at a bunch of guys that had been following him for the past mile, "STOP FOLLOWING ME!" Probably some idiots he had a fight with.
"Shizuo, it would be a great help," Shinra pleaded.
"Fine, if he's fine: I'll kill him, and if he's not: that's not my issue!" snarled Shizuo, breaking his phone.
But in all honestly he was worried about the flea. He hadn't seen him around in a while and word on the street was that he gotten mixed up in with things others wouldn't talk about.
And that wasn't like the broker Shizuo knew; to actually get his own hands dirty.
"Shizuo," Simon called out.
"Hey Simon," greeted Shizuo.
"Have you seen Izaya?" Simon asked.
"Why is everyone so danm concerned about the flea?" snapped Shizuo.
"Have you not noticed? Izaya's expression; like he going to war in my country. In my country, if you go to war, you were ready to be killed or to kill. He looks ready to be killed," Simon said, his eyes filled with worry.
"Don't you worry, I'll straighten him out. No one else is allowed to kill the flea besides me," sighed Shizuo, putting on his sunglasses.
"You be good to Izaya, ok?" Simon nodded, and then continued to go on with trying to draw people to the restaurant. (Drrr bloopers....hahah XD you guys should go check that out by the way..)
"Is he really that bugged up?" Shizuo muttered to himself, as he walked through a park, but stopped dead short when he saw Izaya surrounded by a bunch of men.
