He flies away whenever he needs me the most.
His mind dips into depth and his hands shake and his voice falters as he tells me that he's okay.

His eyes, oh god... You could look at his eyes for even a second and you'd know that he's struggling to hold all of his shattered bones together.
How do i let him go? He's all i have.

The silence after his words still echoes inside my skull,
it beats it's fists at my chest, clawing it's way through my ribs and clutching my heart.
It leaves me breathless, speechless, emotionless.
"Why won't you come back?"
