Chapter 15: The Next Day

The next day I woke up in a bed with Zuko next to me. He had white gauges wrapped around his body. I got up to see my dried bloody hands.

God what did I do! How could I keep doing this? I thought I could be able to change and stop this, but I guess I was wrong.

I tried getting off the bed. I nearly fell on top of Zuko and heard him breathing heavily.

I got off and cleaned my hands. I washed up and fixed myself. I grabed water and was ready to see Zuko's deep wound when the door knocked.

I went to the door opening it finding Nya and Iroh looking at me. They seemed sad and dissapointed. They were either mad about me killing Jin or Zuko being hurt.

"How is my newphew?" Iroh asked quickly.

"I don't know I was just about to cheek on him" I said as I let them in.

I went to Zuko and lightly turned him around. Zuko started to wake up as I did this and he grunted in pain.

The small knife was still inside him. "You put us in here but didn't take the knife out? The longer it's in the more deeper it'll go" I said a bit dissapointed in them.

I took it out as Nya and Iroh looked away. I started to take out parts of his skin while doing this. Zuko grunted louder at this pain.

"Sorry" I said as I put the knife on the drawer.

"It's....it's okay" Zuko said trying to smile but then grunted even more in pain.

I was able to stop the bleeding in a hour and then his skin started to reatach in another two hours. By the time I finished he only had a timy scar.

"You did it!" Nya said amazed at me.

"It was nothing, he would have done the same for me" I said as I brushed his hair off his face.

He got up and kissed my lips. "Thank you, I love you so much" Zuko said as he grabed me tightly around the waist.

I blushed red like a cherry tamatoe as Iroh and Nya giggled a bit.

"You only love me because I just saved you're life"I said and we all laughed a bit.

Zuko started to get up. "Wow, what are you doing?" I asked as I pushed him lightly back down.

"I have important things to do I can't lay around here doing nothing" Zuko said returning to his stuborn and stuck up self.

"No, my orders are that you stay and rest" I said and he sat up.

"So you're a doctor now?" Zuko asked.

"Pretty much, you need to take it easy" I said and he got up.

"Im fine" Zuko said as he started to walk towards the door and collapsed to the floor.

"Zuko are you okay?" I asked giggiling a bit then I saw him clenching his fists, grunting louder in pain a he grinded his teeth together and crunched down on the floor for a few seconds.

I stoped laughing and helped him up then got him back in to bed. "Im....im fine" Zuko said and then he screamed.

"I don't understand I got the blood to stop bleeding and the skin is sowed up" I said confused then he spit out blood on to the floor.

I touched it as I saw Nya and Iroh stick out there toungues in disgust. When I saw it everything made complete sense.

"Poisin" I said and saw everyone's face confused.

"Jin new that I could heal him but he put poisin inside the knife, once it reached contact with Zuko's blood and veins, the poisin entered his blood, he knew I couldn't save him from this" I said angry.
