Chapter 6: 3 Days

Kaya's POV :

3 days until the dance. At least I have a dress, but still no date. I could always go with a group of friends, I have done that before. But this dance was going to be different, I could feel it. Or maybe I just really wanted carlos to ask me. Ugh why does this all have to be so hard. 

I didn't realize I have to go to school today until Logan picked me up from my bed and ropped me on the floor. She is my best friend but sometimes I hate her like right now.  "Wake up girly! We've got school." Logan said to me. 

I threw on a pair of navy blue skirt,a white t shirt,black high tops, and my hair in a half up half down with a blue bow. I put on a little eyeliner to make my eyes look like they are there behind my glasses. Now its time to run to class before Im late.

First I have history (my favorite), math, reading, and after reading lunch! The morning whizzed by and then it was lunch.  I walked out of class and saw Mal and Evie. "Hey kayla we have to show you something right now!!" Evie said as they approached me. "Ok." Was all I could say as they guided me through the halls torwards the sports field. The field is covered in rose petals that spell out "DANCE? " And carlos was standing at the bottom of the question mark.  Evie and Mal walkedd me torwards carlos where he asked "Kayla, would you be my date to the dance?". "Of course!" Was all I could say as I hugged him and he gave me a single red rose. I cant believe all of this is for me! 

"KAYLA YOU NEED TO WAKE UP NOW OR WE ARE GOING TO BE LATE!", was all I heard as I opened my eyes. It was all just a dream I should have know...

Carlos' s POV :

I really want to ask Kayla to be my date to the dance. I could ask her tommorow? But if she only wants to friends I might ruin everything. If only I knew what she would say if I asked her. Whoa it's 7:35 already I need to get to class. Kayla's in it :).

When I got to class the same guy from the mall was talking to kayla again. I hope he doesn't ask her to the dance. One of Kayla's friends came up to me, I think his name is Gavin. We started talking about the dance. He's going not asking anyone to the dance but he said he might ask his crush to slow dance. He seemed really nice, perky like Kayla.  But who here isn't?  Well besides my friends... 

Griffin's POV :

Ok, so Kayla's hot and single. Looks like it's time to breakup with my girlfriend and ask Kayla out at the dance. Maybe during a slow dance... Sounds like a flawless plan.

Jane's POV :

I'm asking carlos to be my date to the dance. Simple as that. He will say yes because I'm hot and  the best girl in this school. Then at the dance he will kiss me and ask me to be his girlfriend. I will say yes and then happily ever after. My plan is flawless. I will make sure NO ONE will get in the way of me and my future husband. He willl be mine.

Kayla's POV :

After school Ben and I went to attend a political meeting today. Since he will be king soon he has too know everything that's going on in Auradon and around us. I am just being dragged along with him. After I got a text from Gavin:

Green eyed monster(gavin):wanna grab some fro-yo?

Me: yessss!! Meet at my room in 15 

Green eyed monster:kk see u soon😉

I turned my phone off and went to my room. I had to get out of these stiff princess clothes. I changed into some black sweatpants, a blue tank top, and my yellow converse. Then heard knocking on the door.  I opened my door to Gavin. 

"Come on let's go!!!" Gavin yelled as we walked to get fro yo. "Wow your such a dork" I joked, and lightly punched his arm. I didn't want to hurt him...well not too mucn. "Owwwwwww that huest so much!!!" Gavin says sarcastically. I just shrug and skip...yes skip to the fro yo shop. Together we didn't have enough money to get two cups of fro-yo so we shared one. We got taro and coconut flavors! It was so good. We talked and ate fro yo for a long time. I'm glad I have someone like Gavin in my life who I can talk to whenever.

I went home and tried to sleep. But I couldn't stop thinking about the dance. What is going to happen? I wish this could all just be easier...
