My heart raced as I held the photo in my hands. He wasn’t mistaken.
“Hey mate, ready to go? It’s starting to… Harry what’s that?” Liam grabs the photo from my hand. His eyes grow wide.
“Mate, where did you get this?” he hands me back the photo and looks at the manila folder in my hand.
“I think I know where she is.” I whispered. Liam nods, still having a surprised look. Zayn, Louis, Niall, Marie, El, and Perrie where all drunk, and didn’t ask about where I got the folder. Actually, they couldn’t notice how stupid they all acted, stumbling out onto the parking lot.
The power of alcohol.
Marie passed out on Niall’s lap while he fell asleep on Liam’s shoulder. I made a mental note to annoy Marie later about how she supposedly wouldn’t drink at all.
When we reached Liam’s flat, which is the largest out of all of ours. After getting everyone to go lie down, he then comes out into the living room where I was looking over the papers inside the folder. We needed to tell them early in the morning anyways and I don’t think they will all be in the same place until way past noon, and this is something they need to know immediately.
“Mate, they’ve been after Marie this whole time!” I groaned.
“Who?” he picks up the photo and turns it around, reading the writing that was scribbled onto the back.
“Trey. And some guy named ‘Leo’”
“On the back here, it says “This is the girl I want. Make sure that she isn’t hurt too bad. I want her to be able to enjoy it.” Man that is gross and creepy.” Liam scrunches his nose and tosses the photo on the coffee table.
“This is one letter from Trey to Leo:
“Dear Leo, I need you to help me get back at the bitch who got me in this asylum. I can’t take it. They treat me like crap. Anyways, the girl, I want to get back at her, and I’m thinking you know what I mean by that. I need help getting out of this nut house first. Write me back if you’re in. Try.”” The rest was like this one. Trey had a huge obsession with Marie. And Leo is just as insane. On a napkin, there was a scribble of an address in blue ink. And in black, was written:
‘This is where she is.’ I put down the papers and look at the CD.
“What do you think this is for?” I asked him.
“I dunno, let’s check.” He takes the CD and puts it into the DVD player. We lowered the volume until we were sure we were the only ones to hear it. Liam hit play and the first thing that popped up was Jane, tied to a chair. Her head slumped, her arms and legs badly bruised.
“You idiot! That ISN’T her!” yells someone off camera. Something slightly covers the camera on the side.
“I think the camera was hidden in his coat or something.” Comments Liam
“It is! Look here’s the picture.” Says a voice closer to the camera. It sounded familiar, but I can’t put my finger on it.
“Idiot! It’s the one NEXT to her! You were supposed to go after the smaller one!” The second voice finally appears. A man, in his mid 20’s appears on camera and grabs her face. I could feel my rage boil up inside of me.
“Dose THIS look like HER in any way?!?” he begins to yell at the man who had the camera.
“Hey, let me go.” Jane mumbled. I sat up straight. She was alive. Hurt but alive.
“Can’t do sweetheart, if I let you go, then my plan will have gone to waste.” He growls at her. He throws her face at a side, her hair moving with it. It looks like she is trying to move her arms, but couldn’t
