Memories(Pearl)

"Goodnight, Steven." I said, closing the temple door.

"You're really nurturing of Steven. I like that." Cane a voice from behind me.

"Ah! Garnet, why did you sneak up on me like that?" I asked.

"If only you could've loved the twins this much." Garnet said, ignoring me. I scoffed, and walked past her.

"They are nothing alike." I replied.

"Of course they're not. Steven still has a family. You could have at least tried to be a mother." Garnet was challenging me.

"Try? Do you really think I didn't try? I gave those girls everything, about what do I have to show for it? A couple memories? Just leave me alone." And with that I entered my room.

I layed down, tired from a day of battle. Soon, I began to, 'fall asleep', as Steven says,

"Don't worry, girls. There's nothing in the temple that can hurt you," I assured them. Aquamarine looked around, scared.

"I'm not used to this place. Will you read us a bedtime story?" I smiled, and took a book from my gem. I read to them about Rose and how she won the war with her bravery.

"Wow, Rose Never said anything about that!" They marveled.

I remembered this. It was the first time I read them a bedtime story.

"Pearl!" I heard, the scream piercing the night.

"Amber! " I ran as fast as I could to the twins' room. "What's wrong?" Amber was in the floor. In her eyes I could see something.

"Fire. Fire is everywhere! It will consume us all!" I was so unsure of what to do.

"Amber, don't worry. We'll be fine.
Here, I'll read you more about Rose."

What was with these dreams? They were all my memories.

"Pearl!" This time, it was Aquamarine.

"What's wrong this time?" I asked.

"Amber had another vision. She's going to die...." Both gems started crying, and I fell down beside them in tears.

"No, nobody will die. You'll both stay alive forever!"

I cried, even in my sleep. I made way through the bad memories do a good dream.

"Pearl, I could stay here forever. "

"Me too," I said, staring untruths stars.

Two figures stand before a third, who shines silver like the moon.

"What are you saying?" One asks. The third grins bright as the Stars.

"That I can tell you Pearl's weaknesses."
