Pearl stood behind Rose, afraid of what could happen.
"Pearl, stand next to me," Rose said, ushering her forward. From the other side of Rose, Ruby and Sapphire smiled.
"Rose Quartz. Whatever could this be about?" Yellow Diamond asked, walking towards Rose. "Wait a moment, I brought some friends along." From the spaceship emerged Blue and White Diamond.
All three Diamonds? She knows something...
Pearl nudged Rose's arm, trying to catch her attention.
"Rose Quartz, why do you bother with a Pearl, a defect, and... Sapphire. " Blue diamond spat out the names, as if they were her enemies.
"I've decided to rebel against Homeworld. You can't destroy this planet!" Rose declared, still believing she had the element of surprise.
"Surprising, unless we've known for about a thousand years!" Yellow Diamond cheered. Rose gasped, and a guilty Red Beryl stepped out from behind the Diamonds.
White Diamond pushed the others aside.
"Yes, go have your fun rebelling, Rose Quartz, but we all know who you really are. And in a few years, you'll get to sit on HomeWorld watching all your Soldiers die while your return is celebrated." White Diamond flicked Rose's chin, and turned away.
"Sapphire, I expect you'll be returning? " Blue Diamond asked.
"No! I'll never leave behind Ruby, Rose, or Pearl!" Sapphire yelled.
"Very well," The Diamonds, as well as almost everyone, left.
What have I gotten myself into?
