Chapter 6 Who says you can't cheat Death?

"Scouts!" All the riders and men who could fight yelled. I looked at Legolas in a panic. He nodded and I looked back. Gimli and Aragorn were sprinting up the hill while Eóywn was leading the people a different direction.  

Mentally cursing my self, Id have to use my quiver. 

Orcs riding wargs came at us, swinging their swords. I threw my arm back and let loose of the arrow, letting it kill an Orc. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Gimli under a dead warg and Orc, struggling to get up. I lead Rosie over grabbing a spear lodged into an orcs head and throwing it into the warg that was about to rip Gimli to shreads. 

Out of no where, a warg crashed into me and Rosie and I fell off. The Orc threw the first punch but I somersaulted away. He had a dagger an plunged in into my leg making me limp. I screamed in pain and kicked the Orc down.  

A Orc snatched me up while riding a warg. I tried to break but my braclet got caught on the ropes of the warg.  

I panicked, it wouldn't stop and we were heading for a ledge.  

The next thing I knew I was tumbling off the ledge and falling in mid air. I splashed into water before everything went black.

~Legolas' POV

We finally killed the orcs and we were gathering the wounded.  

Something clicked in my mind. Where was Bella? 

"Bella? Bella!" I yelled. "Aragorn where is she?"  

"I do not know." He shook his head. I heard thick coughing and turned my head to see a dying Orc trying to laugh.  

"You won't find her. She took a little tumble off the cliff." He coughed. I took him in my arms and yanked on him.  

"Your lying!" I screamed at him. He took his last breath as I looked down in his hand. There, was the purple braclet Elrond gave to her. I ran to the ledge to try to find my love over the water but no avail.  

"Get the wounded on horses! Leave the dead!" Theoden yelled. I looked at him with desperate eyes. He put his hand on my shoulder. I looked over at Aragorn who had tears in his eyes.  

"No." I whispered. "No! I'm not letting her go! She's still alive!" I screamed. Tears were streaming down my face for my lost love. I don't think I can ever love again.

~Aragorns POV

My only sister, is dead. And it's my fault. I should've let her use her sword. She's dead because of me. I loved her. Legolas is going to hate me now. I hate me now. I can never forgive myself.  

I didn't even realize that I was crying along aside Legolas looking out over the river where Bella.... Died. Legolas looked over at me and held out his hand. It held Bella's purple braclet. I let out a slight whimper. I took it and starred at it. I'm going to miss her dearly. Theoden called us to keep going to Helms Deep.

~Bella's POV

Everything. Hurt. That was all I knew. And that I was drifting in water. My thigh was gushing blood all over my legs. I hit the bank of the river and slightly groaned. With the water drifting me and reluctantly using all the strength I had left, I pulled myself on the bank. I layed there, losing more and more blood by the minute.  

I felt a nudge on my shoulder and it rolled me over. It huffed in my face and I knew it was Rosie. She knelt down and she propped me up on her. I grabbed her mane and she lifted up, pulling me up on her and trotting off.  

I hung loosely on her, still feeling sick and blood rushing down my leg. I needed sleep. I had cuts and bruises everywhere.

We got the the huge kingdom in no time. I swung off Rosie as made my way up the doors, pushing them open with everyone turning at me. Dramatic affect, check.
