The Souther Sea is where the kingdom of Sahala breaks into an archipelago of cliffs and thin areas of ocean water. Much of the exports of the kingdom are sold here and imports and stories are brought to the ports. The largest port is the city of Ohahii. Many of the smaller islands that make up the archipelago are still mostly unexplored and many stories are told of what can be found on them.
Ships of all shapes and sizes come and go at these ports, and piracy has been a problem recently. With the state of the kingdom under attack, troops are used up and pirates sail free. The most notorious of these pirate is Captain Rusteel. After his flagship exploded he was seriously injured and disfigued. To fix himself he used magic and mechanics to replace what had been injured. Eventually he completely overhauled his whole body and is now almost immortal. He is credited as the one who runs much of the piracy in the area. His base of operation has yet to be found.
Gun powder is one of the most highly prized items sold in the ports. Cannons are not widely used because of the lack of gunpowder, even soldiers don't use it. Many pirates try to steal it from merchant ships and even each other. Because of the use of gunpowder the Southern Sea has become one of the most dangerous places to to be in Sahala.
This chapter is super short but, that is because it is just an overview. I will have another out very soon, so remember 'Patience is a virtue'.
Also I realize my writing is kinda rough. I am making this up as I go, so sue me. I'm experiencing this at the same time you guys are so enjoy it.
