They rowed all night. They started taking turns as the ship got farther out onto the horizon. After hours the sun rose and Timothy could finally see the expanse of ocean surrounding them.
Where is the archipelago, this is just open ocean.
Timothy's thought were inturrupted by Pendleton's dry heaving. Since the ship had dissapeared he had been leaned over the edge of the small ship vomitting.
"Some hero you are. Why are you like this now but we're fine while fighting the pirates."
Timothy himself was nervous. He hoped this ship could get them to land somewhere before sinking.
Pendleton picked his head up slightly to reply, "It's more of a visual thing, I can't see the ocean and be on it at the same time." With that he layed himself back over the railing to throw-up some more.
"Then how did you plan on getting to the sword fragment? If you can't sail, you can't get to where it is."
"I was planning on staying below deck until we arrived."
"The hero of the land get seasick. We're gonna die."
Timothy kept rowing despite his tired arms. He had been since the sun rose and would most likely be doing it till the sun set.
After a few days they had both run out of energy to row the tiny boat. They both laid on either side of it and stared into the sky. Timothy raised his head and looked to the horizon. There was a tiny speck slowly getting larger, coming towards them.
"Pendleton...I think I see something." Timothy said.
"Your crazy...Tim...you're just really thirsty." Pendleton replied barely whispering.
After a few minutes the speck had grown in size and had taken a shape. It was shaped like a ship! A grand one, with three masts and huge billowing sails. At the very top above the crows nest, was a flag. It had the royal crest upon it. It was from the royal armada.
Timothy smiled through his cracked and dry lips, they had been rescued. He went unconscious right when he heard the first shouts of the crew above them.
Timothy woke up layed in a plush bed covered in many pillows and soft blankets. He moved to get up, but a wave of nausea hit him. He stayed put but looked around his small room. There wasn't much to see. It was very simple, it was all wood with no windows. There was a later hanging from the ceiling above him. He could hushed voices close by but he couldn't pin down where they came from.
Fed up with nothing happening, he got up to search for Pendleton or who his host was. He fought the nausea that overwhelmed him. The ships swaying didn't help his walking to the nearest door. After about three steps, it broke into four different doors. His vision blurred as the door opened and in stepped a small boy.
"Sir, you shouldn't be up yet!" He said.
Timothy swayed and collapsed onto the floor. The boy lifted him and dragged him back to the bed. He fell back into a deep sleep. In it he had a nightmare.
