Chapter 6

** It has been a while, hasn't it my friends! Yea I'm back and I've got this!

So it's been a few weeks after the... thing with Rachel.

She ended up on bed rest for a while. She has a broken rib and a lot of cuts and bruises. She has been having to take a lot of medicine for her brain damage and I've been taking her to her doctor appointments and therapy.

She was discharged from the hospital after a few week.

She, Doc and OPPS have been helping me, Erit and Mark to find my aunt. But Rachel isn't herself right now. She is probably still emotionally healing from all of it.

I try not to mention it, for her sake.

"So what are we looking at exactly? " Mark says to me.

And being the attention hog she is, Tech decides to answer it herself. "We have fought this guy before but something is... well... different. His body is made up on toxic waste and he uses it to his advantage. But his normal build up, on the pH scale, is at a 12. But now its reading at a 14-16 scale. 16 Isn't even on the original scale. He has been making improvements, and that- "

"OK T! Dumb it down for the non-science ones now" I cut her off on her rant.

Looking at my friends, they all were looking at her like she was nuts. Sighing, I started over for her.

"What T was saying, his acidic level has gotten more dangerous. You see, he used to be a normal guy. He used to work for that great big building in a town called... X-Cycle Energy. But during one of his experiments, he tripped in his lab coat and fell into a radioactive waste pool that was meant to be thrown out. What ever was in that waste changed him. His whole physical buildup is a pure acidic waste and his mind isn't fully... there. And by acidic think of lemons that can burn through 8 floors of concrete and 3 support beams as thick as the beams used on the Eiffel Tower."

" Anyways, because of that factor, I can't touch him for more than a few seconds and he knows it. For all we know at this point, his toxic wast could have killed my Aunt. Think of an ant under a hot magnifying glass."

"So that's why he is called Toxon!" Rachel says.

"Yes, Rachel. Thats why he is called Toxon. Now that we have that out of the way, can we move on?" Tech grumbled.

"What has gotten in your circuits, T? You never act this way. Not even to me. Whats up?" I ask. She is never like this.

"Ummm Rain, can I talk to you...outside?" She asked nervously. Nodding I walk out with her.

"Whats wrong Tech? Is there something eating you?" I ask. She never acts like this. But then again, it was always just us going on this kind of missions.

"I'm just not liking our odds here. We don't even know if Joy is even is even with Toxon. What if she is on a... unexpected vacation and has not had her phone on her? I'm afraid that we are rushing into this. And no matter what we do, no matter what kind of backup we have, he is still too powerful. We're going to get crushed. Especially if we have no N-Tech agents with us. They could get hurt or worse. We should not be taking this risk."

Sighing I realize she has a point, but I know that my Aunt was not on a vacation.

"Tech, I understand what you are saying but its worth the risk. Aunt Joy might be dead for all we know. She is the only family I've got left. I have to save her. And with the non-agents getting involved, I know this is not the greatest plan in the world but I have a backup plan to get them out if things get bad. I've got all agents in on it so our friends are not going in unprotected."

She sighs. I know she is still worried and no matter what I would say, nothing would put her at ease. I've never seen her like this. So caring about us 'Humans' as she would say.

Its... odd. But a good odd, I guess.

"Are you ok? It seems like something more than that is eating at you. Come to Tech. Talk to me."

"I- I found something when we go home the other day. You know, when we saw that you Aunt was gone..." She faded off.

She is hiding something. "Tech! Rain! Come on guys, you have to get Doc, OPPS and Rachel home before nightfall!" Erit yelled. "Okay, we will be there soon. Come on Rain, let's go." And with that, Tech flew out in quite a hurry.

She is so hiding something.

And I just have to find out what.

My fam and I have a foreign exchange student staying with us! I'm so happy. She comes all the way from Brazil! Lovin it!
