The Guide to Maximum Turbo (Under Construction)

Chapter 7

Looking at the monitor, puzzled. 

Picture after picture. Video after video. 

I was looking at the pictures and videos from the night my aunt got taken. 

I couldn't figure this out. I know it was Toxon. The toxic waste that was left was a dead give-away. But he left no clue to where he was going or why he took her. I was really careful not letting my identity out. 

No one but Doc, Rachel, OPPS and the guys a N-Tech knew. And they all didn't learn till a day after Aunt Joy was taken.

Running through the video tape over again, frame by frame. 

I looked to the clock and it said 3:45 AM. I'm still in N-Tech. The security guard has already shut off all the lights and locked everything down. 

Taking a deep breath, I decided to go take a walk and breath a little. I walked to the survey room to the far hanger. Tech was there. "Hey T" I sighed, sitting down by her. 

"Have you found anything yet?" She asked. "No" "I hope we find her. And soon." She admitted. I know that T would never admit to it but I know she misses Aunt Joy. 

I really miss her. Waking up in the morning and Aunt Joy being there... I don't know why but T and Aunt Joy are always at each other's throats. Joy always saying how she doesn't like T on the TV early in the morning, or how I shouldn't have an alien from a far off planet in my backpack. She thinks it's dangerous and don't get me wrong, it is at times.

However, it's more dangerous if T wasn't here. She was just warming to having her in the house.

"Hey T, lets go home. It's been a long night." I her. As soon as I said that, she flew to me, we linked up and changed into Flight mode. We got home in record time. 

We are both so tired we didn't say anything. I went right to bed and Tech went right to the couch and zoned out. I passed out right when my head hit the pillow.

I was back at N-Tech going through a bunch more files on Toxon. I was looking through a timeline of where he was and when he moved when something odd came up. 

He vanished. 

Just disappeared without a trace. And that led up to... today. 

And the last ping we got was from right here in town! I picked up the file and ran to find Ford. Running through N-Tech, I learned a valuable lesson. 

Always look where you're going. I ran right into Erit. I fell right to the ground. That man is like a brick wall! "Are you okay? You really need-" "To look where I'm going? I know. But i have to show you this."

"This is the tracker reports on Toxon, right? But look, from about 2 months back to today the report has come back missing. He disappeared! I wanna go to the last location he was found. He is probably still there too! If he wasn't, he would have been picked up on one of our satellites. SO he must still be there. And if he is there, my Aunt must be there too. I need a team of- "

"Okay kid, calm down! No need to rush into this blind. I'll have a team of my men go scope out the area. You and Tech stay here and let us deal with this. It's not safe for you two to go running into a situation blind. Let us scout out the area and if we need help, you two are just one call away. Let the professionals handle this kid." Erit calmly said. 

But his calm reassuring voice made me mad. 

He is telling me to stay behind?! 

It's my Aunt's life at stake here! I should be the one to go. She would want to see a friendly face after being captured by that mad man Toxon.

"No! I refuse to stay behind while you and your men go and get MY Aunt. She will see all your men storm in and be even more scared than she already is.

"I think we are thinking the same thing." T says as she hovers over to me. " You want to go after him, don't you? You are going to go after him and not tell anyone, then we will get in trouble and YOU will get hurt and Ill be the one to pick up the Rain prices off the floor. It's always me who is picking yo-" 

"You are right T. I'm going after her. And I cant do it without you. This is my family. I never asked N-Tech to help save my Aunt. I asked them to help find her. We found her, now its my job to save her. No, its our job." I tell her. 

I'm trying to stay calm, but I cant help it when my voice trembled.

"Ok." She says. ''Let's go get her.'' And that's all she needed to say. The last thing I heard was Erit yelling a few choice words at us to get out (other word for-) butts back. And needless to say, we didn't listen.

We are coming Aunt Joy, dont you worry.
