The Guide to Maximum Turbo (Under Construction)

Chapter 10

Todd and I decided to go to N-Tech and talk to Erit. I changed to flight mode and off we went. Todd isn't the biggest fan of flying so it was kinda funny watching him freak out on the flight over. After we landed, I grabbed him a trash can. But before I got back to him, he had already gotten sick on the floor.

"Dude, come on." I heard Erit yell from down the hall. I turned to face him and willed my helmet to phase off, still laughing at him. 

He looked at me with a pained face, exasperated. " dude. It really isn't funny." He breathed at me.

After I was done laughing at him, I turned to Erit. "So, anything new? What happened at that location?"  I asked frantically. 

"Well we got there and there was nothing. No new leads, no signs of him leaving or having hostages. Not even a drip of toxic waste on the ground. It was a dead-end kid. I'm sorry, but we are back to square one. I'm sorry kid"

I looked at him in disbelief. "No." 

"No? Kid we went through that place already. We looked at all of Toxon's past hideouts. He isn't there. We just have to-"

"No. No that has to be right." I said. It has to be right. There is nowhere else he could be. Toxon is not that smart. No way he could have tricked us. 

"Go Turbo, flight," I said, quickly before anyone could stop me. 

T and I linked up and took off. 

"Rain, where are we going exactly?" T asked. 

"We are going to the last place that Toxon was. There has to be something the N-Tech agents missed. There just has to be.. right?"

"Rain, I really hope so," T said softly.

Suddenly, I heard my com. ringing in my mask. Mark installed it with Tech when I was looking through security film. He said it was just incased they need to get in touch with me. I thought it was ridiculous but I was just happy that T was making friends. 

I wasn't going to pick up but...

"OOOOH, my communication device works! Hi Mark!" T all but yelled, picking up the call.

"Where are you guys going? I heard the boss man yelling at you guys when you left and he sounded frustrated." Mark rapid fired at me. 

"Look, I know Toxon. There has to be something there. He is careless and clueless. There is no way that he didn't leave a trail of something leading to him. Just come back to N-Tech and we will get all of this figured out okay?"

"No. I'm going to find her. You guys have been all but useless so far and I am going to take point from now on." And with that, I cut him off. 

So we kept searching. We kept going all day and all night. I am so tired. "Rain, we should go back. You need sleep." T said. I know she is right. But I can stop. "If you don't do it yourself, I'm going to overrule you and take you home myself. "

I tried to protest against her but I didn't have the energy to do so. I let her take control and as we flew home, I drifted off. Half asleep, I felt us arrive home. She helped me to bed and it was just then when I finally fell asleep.
