I woke up to someone shaking me. For a minute I thought it was Nona, but then I remembered what happened last night. Nona caught us. She was going to put a restraining order on Dick. She also kept something REALLY important from me. What was it again? Oh yeah, whenever I scream now it sounds like thirty times louder than a normal scream! How could she keep that from me?!
The person who originally shook me was still shaking me and telling me to get up, but I didn't want to. I rolled over on my side and opened one eye. I saw a wall, and the bed sheets I was wrapped in. Wait, where am I again?
"Caroline, wake up, she's here," said a familiar voice.
Finally, I opened both eyes and sat up. I was still in my clothes from last night, even my boots. Dick was standing beside me in new clothes and his sunglasses.
"Dick, where are we?" I asked rubbing my eye.
"At the cave, remember? We got here through a telephone booth, and I told you, the team doesn't know me as Dick, they only know me as Robin," he said.
That's when everything rushed back to me. Dick was really Robin, the Boy Wonder, and Bruce was Batman, can you imagine? He brought me to this cave, and he said there was a team? I'm guessing a team of heroes. Wait, didn't he say someone was here.
"Who's here?" I asked, my mind still fuzzy from sleep.
"Black Canary, remember? I told you she could help you," he said.
I got up, and he led me down a few halls. We came to that main room that we first entered in and passed some people. One looked normal, he was wearing a black and red Superman T-shirt, but the other girl looked a little strange. For one thing, she was green, and another thing, she was floating. The girl with green skin stopped us.
"Hi! Are you new to the team?" she asked.
"Um, no, I don't know," I said.
"M'gann, this is Caroline; she's my best friend," he said introducing us.
"I thought Wally was your best friend?" asked the boy.
"He is, but she is also. Caroline, this is Superboy, but you can call him Connor," said Dick.
"Why is she here?" he asked.
"Apparently I have powers," I said.
"Oh, really? What kind of powers do you have?" she asked.
"Um, when I scream it sounds way louder than normal, like, thirty times louder," I said putting emphasis on the word thirty.
"That sounds like Black Canary-"
"C'mon, Caroline, you can meet her now," said Dick, interrupting M'gann.
"Okay, nice meeting you," I said as we walked away.
"Nice meeting you too!" she yelled before we exited the room. We into a room that looked like a waiting room for when you go to see someone in the hospital, but bigger and nicer.
Two people stood in the room, Batman and a woman, I'm guessing she is Black Canary.
"Batman," I said, giving a small smile. He gave a small smile as well. "It's cool to meet you in person."
"The feeling is mutual," he said in a deeper voice than normal.
"Black Canary," Robin started, "this is my friend Caroline. She's the one I told you needed her help."
"Okay, but I still don't see why she needs my help if she lives in Gotham City," she said.
"She needs your help because she has your same powers," he said.
