Batman P.O.V

Ever since Caroline's grandmother made her stop hanging out with Dick, he hasn't been himself. I started doing some digging about Nona, but I didn't tell Dick or Caroline. I found something about her, and it was disturbing. Nona was not who Caroline thought she was.

As Dinah told Caroline about what happened in the past between them, both Dick and I were deeply disturbed. She would kidnap her own granddaughter? As Dinah finished the story, Caroline didn't look so good. She looked uneasy, possibly to the point of fainting. I had a feeling she would, so I walked closer to her. As my guess was right, her eyes rolled to the back of her head, and as she fell backwards, I caught her before she fell to the floor. Dinah and Dick were at her side in an instant.

"I'll take her to the medical bay," I said. They nodded and followed me.

I laid her down on one of the beds. Just to be safe, I put an iv in her arm. Dinah moved a strand of hair away from her face and sighed.

"The news must have been overwhelming for her," she said.

"She'll be alright," I said. "She just needs time to accept it."

Caroline P.O.V

I was so tired, I couldn't move from where I was laying down. I tried opening my eyes, but when they didn't open at first, I just left them closed because I got lazy. I laid there for a few minutes awake, but not moving besides my breathing. When I gathered enough strength, I opened my eyes. I wasn't in the same room I was in before. This looked more like a medical room. But why was I in a medical room?

Oh, right. I fainted from the news. The news that my mom is alive, and Nona is a monster. The news that my mom was a superhero and I had her powers as well.

I heard beeping next me, and it was getting faster. I heard someone come to my side in an instant, and it was Dinah. She turned the machine off and took the iv that was in my arm out.

"It's okay, Caroline, you're fine. Batman just put an iv in just in case," she said. "Do you remember what happened?"

"Yeah, you're my mom, and Nona is a monster." I said Nona's name with bitterness.

"I know," said Dinah softly. She sat on the end of the bed.

After a few moments of awkward silence, I spoke. "What do we do now?"

"Well, Batman and I have come to a decision," she started, "I'm going to train you to use your powers, and you'll live here at the cave until I can make a room for you at my apartment."

"Okay, what about the other people that live here?" I asked.

"They're on the Young Justice League. Some have homes, but some don't have a secret identity, so they live here. I have also come to a decision." I waited for her to speak. "When you're trained and know how to use your powers, if you want to join the Young Justice League, I will allow you to."

"Join the team? Like with Robin and M'gann?" I asked.

"How do you know M'gann?"

"Robin introduced me to her and Superboy before I met you."

"Oh, speaking of that, the team wants to meet you."

She offered me her hand, and I took it. We walked down the hall and into the main room. There were a lot more people there than last time.

"Everyone," said Dinah, getting everyone attention. "I would like you to meet someone," she said pushing me forward a little. "This is Caroline, my daughter." There were a few gasps, but over all, everyone looked either really surprised or really happy. "She'll be staying at the cave until I can make room in my apartment for her. Now, make her feel welcome, I have to go for now." She turned and looked at me putting a hand on my shoulder. "I'll be back in a little bit. Make some friends."
