Ciel stood there, stunned. Flames engulfed him; his own screams echoed through his head. Dropping to his knees, he gasped for breath. Someone grabbed his arm. "Ciel! Snap out of it!" He heard her voice, and slowly, his vision cleared. Rubbing his eyes, he looked up. The building across the street had caught fire, but he was a safe distance away. "Nngh." He groaned, and pulled his hair in frustration. The flames had triggered his ptsd. "Ciel." His cousin, Lizzie, stood over him, concern in her eyes. "Are you alright?" She asked quietly. For her sake, he forced a smile and stood up again. "I-I'm okay." He glanced back at the house. He felt bad for the people inside. He knew the fear that ran through ones self when they watch their lives; their future, burn to a crisp. Two firemen came from the building. "Look!" Lizzie shouted. "They're bringing someone out!" She was right. Arms draped over the two men's shoulders, was a barely conscious teen, a bit older then Ciel. His jeans, and black t-shirt were ripped, and his face covered in soot, but what kept Ciel staring was his eyes. They were a deep red, and were filled with a terrible emptiness. As if aware of Ciel's gaze, the soot covered teen looked up and caught Ciel's eye, pitch black hair falling in front of his face. It only lasted a second before the paramedics took him into the ambulance. No one else was rescued from the building.

It wasn't hard to find out who the boy with the pitch black hair was. His name, Sebastian Michealis, was all over the local news. For some reason, Ciel had had a nagging feeling about him, and after some time, decided to visit him in the hospital.
According to the news, Sebastisn lived alone. He had his own house! Ciel was impressed, though he too lived alone in an apartment he'd moved into a year ago.
Ciel was currently in the hospital, being lead by a nurse to Sebastian's room, after lying and saying he was a friend from school.
When the nurse opened the curtain, Ciel noticed he wasn't alone. A red-haired girl, heavily loaded with make-up, sat by Sebastisns bedside. "Oh Bassy!" She exclaimed. "Now you've got more than a few battle scars on that body of yours! I just can't wait until you've recovered and feel you hold me in your arms!" She ended while standing, wrapping her own arms around herself. Sebastisn looked disgusted, and the nurse politely asked her to leave, escorting her out.
Now, Ciel turned towards the boy he hardly knew, but went to visit in the hospital. "Who was that chick?!" He asked. "That 'chick' is a guy." Sebastian answered, looking exhausted. "His name is Grell." He then narrowed his eyes. "The real question is, who are you?"
"Wait, what?" Ciel asked, surprised. "He's a guy?"
Sebastian actually chuckled. "Sure doesn't look it though, does he?" Ciel shook his head, his eyes wide. "Now, when are you going to tell me who you are?" The red-eyed boy questioned in a slightly more cheerful tone. "Oh! Uh, sorry." Ciel felt a bit embarrassed. "I-I'm Ciel. Ciel phantomhive. I was just across the street when your house caught on fire." That's when he decided to shut up, judging by Sebastian expression, he was afraid he'd said too much. "Oh. Right. I think I remember seeing you, but it's all fuzzy." He said, his gaze unfocused, like he was trying to recall a distant memory. "You were with your girlfriend, right?" Ciel took a step back, eyes wide and waving his arms. "What? Lizzie? No! She's my cousin." Sebastian gave a smirk. "Oh. I'm sorry." He didn't seem sorry. He sounded more like he was teasing Ciel. "I'm actually gay." Ciel face flushed, unsure what's made him say that. Especially right after he'd been teased. 'Stop talking. Now! Goddammit, Ciel!' He thought to himself.
Sebastian raised his eyebrows. "Do you always tell people that much about yourself when you first meet them?" Ciel stuttered, "N-no. I-I don't know w-why i said that.." His voice trailed off.
