Sebastian smirked. "I suppose I'm special then." This made Ciel blush. "I guess so." He wasn't sure what else to say.
There was an awkward moment of silence as Sebastian grinned like some maniac, before the older teen spoke up. "Why did you come here, anyway?" Ciel looked away. "I wanted to make sure you were alright."
Sebastian's grin faded into a frown. "Why would you care?"
"I-" Ciel's voice got caught in his throat, and he had to swallow before starting again. "I was in a house fire once. My parents both died. Since then, I've had ptsd."
"Or perhaps you took one look at me and thought, 'God damn! I just gotta see that hunk again!'" Sebastian joked. Usually people weren't so unsympathetic when they learned of Ciel's condition. Then again, he didn't speak of it often.
Ciel shot him a glare, and the older boy backed down. "Sorry. That was really insensitive of me."
"No. It's fine." Ciel continued to avoid his gaze. "I'm glad your feeling okay. You lived alone, so it's not like you watched anyone die." At this, Sebastian's eyes darkened. "I had a cat." He said. "I hope she's still alive. When the fireman dragged me out, they wouldn't let me search for her." "She's just a cat though, right?" Ciel quickly covered his mouth with his hands when he noticed the pain in Sebastian's eyes. He'd said something he shouldn't have. "Oh my god! I'm sorry! I didn't mean it!"
Sebastian gave the younger boy a cold stare. "You better be sorry. I happen to be very protective over her."
"You like cats a lot, huh?" Ciel couldn't help but chuckle.
A mischievous grin crossed Sebastian's face. "I like all cute things."
Ciel narrowed his eyes. "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Sebastian looked away, grinning. "No reason."
The younger boy studied the older one. His eye were closed, and he was leaning back on the hospital bed. His grin was wide enough to show most of his teeth.
"Wait." Ciel said, "Were you just flirting with me?" Sebastian's eyes flew open. "Flirting? Now, why would I do such a thing to you?" His smile plastered on his face.
"I don't know! It just sounded like you were flirting with me!" Ciel blushed.
Sebastian chuckled. "You're blushing. Why are you blushing? Are you attracted to me? I'm pretty sexy, aren't I?"
Ciel frowned, the red in his cheeks doing anything but fading. "You've got a really big ego, you know?"
"Oh, I know." Sebastian seemed proud about it. "You never answered my question."
The younger boy sighed. "I'm not sure why I was blushing, and of course I'm not attracted to you!" He said.
Sebastian put his hand on his chest, pretending to be offended. "Such harsh words."
Rolling his eyes, Ciel replied with, "Well, gee, I'm sorry."
Laughing, and being a bit too happy, Sebastian said, "Hey, can I tell you something?" "Yeah, what is it?" Sebastian motioned for Ciel to lean in closer. He obliged. Sebastian took Ciel's face in his hands, and placed a kiss on the younger boys lips. "You may not be attracted to me, but I sure as hell am attracted to you."
