-Flashback-

"Baby, I'm home!" My husband of two years, Lucas, yelled. I smiled and walked out of the kitchen to greet him. I pecked his lips and hugged him. He smiled and picked me up. He carried me to the kitchen and sat me on the island. He got some drink then kissed my lips.

"I'm gonna take a shower. I love you." He said. I smiled and pecked his lips.

"I love you too." I said. He jogged upstairs and I got back to dinner.

"Can I help you cook?" Lucas asked, wrapping his arms around my waist from behind. He just got out the shower and he smells great.

"Mmm, you worked today. I can do it." I said, turning my head and pecking his cheek.

"Please let me help, Layla, I'll speak french for you." He whispered in my ear. I smiled and thought about it. It kind of turns me on when he speaks french, but he's got a deep voice, it sounds sexy.

"How about I cook dinner, then we eat, then I'll rub your back and then I can hold you and then we can fall asleep together." I suggested. Lucas chuckled and pecked my neck.

"No, that's not how it works, baby girl." He whispered, rubbing my sides.

"Lucas, you worked hard to day, just sit and relax, I'll do it." I told him.

"Come on, baby." He whispered in my ear, leaving a small kiss. When I tried to talk again, he nibbled on my earlobe gently.

"Baby, I been wanting to talk to you. I can help get dinner done faster, we can discuss it at dinner." Lucas told me.

"Fine." I said, giving in. Lucas smiled and backed up.

"Okay, what would you like me to do?" He asked.

"Cut the green peppers, kid." I said, using his old nickname. He used to go buy Kid Lucas when he was in a band, called 'Tha Diamondz.'

"No, them days are over. It's just Lucas now." Lucas said, smiling and obviously reminiscing in the old times.

"I can still call you kid though." I told him.

"Nope, I'm older than you, and I don't go by that anymore so there's no reason too." He told me. I just smiled at him.

Me and Lucas sat down at the kitchen table to have dinner and Lucas took my hand.

"Baby, we've been married for two years now, and I feel like something is still missing. I sat and thought about it for a while. It wasn't a dog because we have one." Lucas started, making my stomach drop. I hope he isn't trying to divorce me or something.

"It took me at least a week to figure out what it was." Lucas continued, using two fingers to make me look in his eyes.

"I think we need a baby." He finished, making me smile and let out a sigh of relief.

"Are you sure?" I asked, looking in his eyes. Lucas nods and smiles.

"I'm sure, I really want one. But if you don't want to right now, we don't have to. We can wait another few years. We're only twenty-three, we have time." Lucas said, becoming nervous. I kissed his lips softly.

"I'm ready. I want a baby too." I informed him, making his whole face light up.

"Let's make a baby then." He said, pulling away from the long kiss he just gave me. I smiled and agreed. We finished our dinner and then went upstairs, he wanted to make that baby tonight.

-Flashback over-

That was a year ago. Everything is so different now. We haven't had a baby yet. I've gotten pregnant twice, but I miscarried, I think something is wrong. What if I'm not fertile or something?

I sat on the bed I share with Lucas, holding the pregnancy test in my lap. I hope it's positive, we've been trying so hard. The doctor says there is nothing wrong with me or my body, I just get to stressed while pregnant, causing me to lose the baby.

"Baby, where are you?" Lucas asked. I told him I was in the room and he came up here and kissed my lips.

"I love you, and no matter what this says, we're in this together." Lucas told me.

"Together. I love you too." I said, kissing his lips.

We both took a deep breath and looked at the test.
