Homecoming is Friday. I can't help but want to throw myself off a cliff. I get ask at lest 90 times a year. No joke I when to Homecoming when I was in 7th grade by a freshman. Now being a Senior its gotten worse. 34 asks already. 3 today and we are in first period. The homecoming ballets are passes out. I see my name and groan. I sink into my seat.

John Brady and Julia Gunner.

Like every year since I dated her freshman year. A big hell no if she thinks about kissing me again like last year.

"So you and Julia Gunner? Again?" Kristin asks at lunch standing next me at the "Jock" table. I roll my eyes.

"Yeah I know."

"I swear if you blonde and a cheerleader you can do anything. Even if a tree stump is smarter."

"Hey Jackson! Catch!" I look up and football comes flying at Kristin. Her food gets all on her. She throws the tray to the ground. Oh shit. Julia.

"You little bitch." Kristin says as if noddles weren't everywhere on her she tackles Julia to the ground throwing punches. And I mean PUNCHES. Julia screams in pain. Max pulls her off Julia cuz I'm laughing to hard. Bitch down for the count. Kristin runs out of the lunchroom and I run after her. I go into the girls bathroom.

"Ew get out of here." A freshman girl says.

"Shut up." I say. I bang on the stall Kristin is in. The one girl leaves.

"Please just go away." Kristin says.

"Babe I'm not leaving." She opens the door. Black marks are down her face. I catch a tear with my thumb wiping it with my thumb. I kiss her forehead.

"I'm screwed when my parents find out." She says about to start crying again. I pull her out of the bathroom and head for the football locker room.

"Where are we going?" She asks. I push open the door.

"Oh god the smell." She says holding her nose. I grab my jersey. I take off her shirt seeing a pink tank top. I put my jersey over her head. Way too big for her. She looks in the mirror and giggles.

"Well that made you smile." I say. Her arms wrap around my neck. She kisses me. I smile.

"That made you smile too." She gets sent home but texts me later that she's not in trouble since Julia started the fight. I smile. Julia also has a broken nose.

That night I buy a dozen roses and a box of chocolates and inside asking her to homecoming.
